Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup cuzzies lrdr here with a new fic for your perusal

Ok basically I’m into your Conans and your Fafhrds and Grey Mousers and all that sort of thing (oh and ponies) and I have noticed a relative paucity of old school fantasy on the archives
So what we have here is a saga of the mythic prehistory of ponies and specifically the adventures of Red Eye* a former warlord of the Red Tongue tribe of earth ponies who has been bought low and now must struggle for survival in the wake of his own conquests and the enemies he has made
You could call the setting the ‘Hayborian age’ if you were a crass bastard but I know you’re not so we’ll coin the term ‘sword and pony’ which is much less cringeworthy

Note that no characters from the show are to be found herein
Oh and there’s lots of killing as per the genre i’m cribbing from and sex is implied but nothing too extreme

* some cuzzies may take the main character’s name as a ref to Fallout: Equestria, but I hadn’t read any of that particular story when I started writing this so yeah I mean well I have now though hence this extra note you’re reading
The name Red Eye was actually intended as a ref to my brobot Hammerstein from Ro-Busters, the ABC Warriors, Nemesis the Warlock and the text may or may not have further refs to Pat Mills’ good shit (huge huge props to all who know what i’m talking about and of course spread the word!)
Anyway i’m not gonna change his name because I like it so I guess it becomes a retroactive ref to FO: EQ now but yeah this has zero to do with that text so don’t get disappointed when there’s steppes and forests and mountains and shit instead of stables and wastelands and all that carry on
