An excellent story, though I apologize for getting too sucked into the little history bit. (Have a bit of a fondness for worldbuilding. Actually more like a raging inferno of passion for it

Thank you for your kind words. I love world-building too. It's part of my passion for speculative fiction. Strangely enough, the little "history" section near the end is more folk tale than history, kinda like the tales of Hercules. The story of Hartwin is supposed to take place only a generation or two after the first Hearth's Warming Day.
