Never have I seen so much backstory written just for a throwaway gag.
There were a couple of hiccups in terms of grammar here and there, but nothing major. I definitely got quite a few chuckles out of it. Quite an interesting interpretation of events, if I do say so myself. Nice work.

It just popped into my mind to write this when I happened to rewatch that episode last weekend, and I just thought "why not?". And here it is, my thoughts put into words for all the world to read. Probably not. Celestia likely only knows about what happened there from their friendship letter, and they didn't mention leaving Rarity and Pinkie behind. Even if she did know (either someone telling her off-screen or everything being recorded on one of her monitoring screens...), she knows not to intervene when Twilight and her friends can handle the situation themselves just fine.
As for Twilight, she probably felt guilty herself too, or at least she should have. Even if she initially told Rainbow Dash to stop the cart after they fell off, she still has no excuse for not waiting for Rarity and Pinkie in Dodge Junction before taking the train back to Ponyville.
