I came here at first because I wanted to read, I stayed because I wanted to write, and I came back because I wanted to re-ignite my creativity (thanks to Scribbler)

So you know that Lightning Dust was kicked out of the Academy, but do you know what went into it? This provides potential insight based off of accounts of the incident.

Part of what I consider an unofficial deleted scene of Ponyville [may become a series], we find out in the periods of time between the obstacle course and Rainbow Dash's redemption. From complaint to canning, it covers what was reported.
Keep in mind that this is a fanon story, and while it borrows elements from the show, it was not created as part of the show. Even though this is one whole story, it is split up into three "chapters" in order to flow with the canon timeline of the episode.
Also, any editing would be appreciated, this is my first attempt at the fanfiction world

Nice to see Spitfire isn't jumping to conclusions but was aware that Lightning Dust's behavior might not acceptable.

So Thunderlane caught Rarity and Raindrops caught Pinkie Pie. I wonder how long until all the pegasi that saved the mane six are identified. :trixieshiftright:

With that, Lightning Dust nodded and took one last look at the badge on her chest. In just a few moments, it would be torn from her uniform. What she had worked for the longest time on would disappear right within her forced view, but at least some pride, she felt, could be redeemed. While she would be stripped of her status, she heard from Spitfire herself that a return would be possible in the long run. For now, however, she had to face the firing squad of dignity. There would be no deaths from the shots, but the recovery would result in a longer timeline of pain. To follow, she hoped it would all lead to an infinitely longer period of serenity. It might require attending another academy session, but she knew Lightning Dust would appear in the program of a future show if she worked hard enough – or rather, soft enough – to reach the goal.

Excellent summary. And now I say head cannon accepted.

I think the Mane 6 would be referred to as "The Knights of Harmony", given that they were knighted after they defeated Discord.

Interesting note on that, I actually wrote the third "chapter" first :twilightsheepish:
But then I figured it might need a little more explanation beforehand, glad my change worked out.

As much as that may be the case, I feel that's like calling Elton John "Sir Elton John", that may be the knighted name, but I think most would prefer a simpler name.
Perhaps I'm too used to the Elements of Harmony thing, that and it's been a while since I've seen either S2 premier

Very nice. You managed to turn Spitfire back into a good leader.

Have a moustache:moustache:

:moustache: thank you fair sir, I shall use this gracious gift wisely. :yay:

An excellent story. I enjoyed reading this quite a bit. I don't think that there are enough Lightning Dust fics out there even if they are summarizing and giving some backstage stuff to an episode. This was very well done an I look forward to reading more from you in the future. Keep up the great writing!

THIS story is more like it. Lightning Dust got kicked out, but she understands why she was kicked out. Plus, she was told she could try again in a year. And we know that Spitfire didn't just take Rainbow's word for dismissing Lightning Dust.
