So you know that Lightning Dust was kicked out of the Academy, but do you know what went into it? This provides potential insight based off of accounts of the incident.
Part of what I consider an unofficial deleted scene of Ponyville [may become a series], we find out in the periods of time between the obstacle course and Rainbow Dash's redemption. From complaint to canning, it covers what was reported.
Keep in mind that this is a fanon story, and while it borrows elements from the show, it was not created as part of the show. Even though this is one whole story, it is split up into three "chapters" in order to flow with the canon timeline of the episode.

I think the Mane 6 would be referred to as "The Knights of Harmony", given that they were knighted after they defeated Discord.

As much as that may be the case, I feel that's like calling Elton John "Sir Elton John", that may be the knighted name, but I think most would prefer a simpler name.
Perhaps I'm too used to the Elements of Harmony thing, that and it's been a while since I've seen either S2 premierVery nice. You managed to turn Spitfire back into a good leader.

An excellent story. I enjoyed reading this quite a bit. I don't think that there are enough Lightning Dust fics out there even if they are summarizing and giving some backstage stuff to an episode. This was very well done an I look forward to reading more from you in the future. Keep up the great writing!
THIS story is more like it. Lightning Dust got kicked out, but she understands why she was kicked out. Plus, she was told she could try again in a year. And we know that Spitfire didn't just take Rainbow's word for dismissing Lightning Dust.
