The new Tomb Raider game was really meh, based on the playthroughs I've seen. It focused on graphics and a new -and I might add, very clunky- combat/levelling system a lot more than the puzzles and story that make a Tomb Raider game.

I am trying not to soil the chapter's feel-good ambience with my massive jealousy of you and your new free graphics card.
Mine runs the simplest of games in sepia, for god's sake. And even then the lag is so bad that it is impossible to play them. It is hardly possible to get worse video cards than mine.

I've been subjected to sustained and accurate Vanu LMG fire from biolab air pads while standing near the adjoining jump pad. Anecdotal, and I'll admit those people are generally better than your average Vanu, but I don't consider being able to "spray and pray" accurately at a hundred yards or more "needing to aim."

So we sync to Season 3 now, eh? I'm pretty sure it was evening when they disintegrated Twilight Sparkle in that horrible Harmony accident completed Starswirl's final spell, making a new alicorn princess.

As much as I worry too over the rich and powerful doing everything they can to stay that way, I'm hoping that ponies are not like humans in this respect. That is, they are not monsters but more like bullies. As a former-human-turned-pony, Silver Script should not have too much trouble dealing with bullies, even ones using fear-inducing magic, playing them like fools at their own political games. I mean, if it comes down to who can be more like the Devil, I'd put my bits down on human every time. Problem here too is I'd also like to think humans can be better than evil low blows-- be a better pony than Aqua.

p.s. Now I'm curious what bear jerky tastes like...

Finally SIlver has the recipe to the gender swap cupcakes, though I imagine she could have gotten the formula from Pinkie much more easily and just removed all references to "sugar" to get the same effect. Not quite sure what she'll use it for, aside from a learning tool. She could be quite mischievious and place a couple drops of that potion in Aqua's tea...

So, is she off to Canterlot or will we get a few more crazy Lyra moments? Maybe she can teach Twilight to fly through fireworks displays?

And how much longer before she straps a cockatrice to her forehead and makes it stare at pound cake and un-stone him? It seems like such a simple task, compared to killing a Lamia.

After that, you can probably look forward to an interlude that quantifies Silver's academic research into Zecora's potion [and no, she couldn't have gotten the recipe as pinkie got the potion as a whole from the zebra], a concert chapter, and a big event. Not telling anything about that.

If the cure for petrification is getting another cockatrice to un-stone the victim, we might need to get Fluttershy to stare convince the little nasty beastie into doing it. From what I've seen of them, they're about as agreeable as Rarity's cat, Opal, dropped in a bucket of cold water.

I still feel a bit saddened at Silver Script being unable to cure the pertrification through alchemy since it was that event that pushed her into being an alchemist and going to Canterlot and dealing with the drama there. It's almost like that discovery of a cockatrice's stare being reversible by another stole away Silver's purpose at life. Denying her the chance to redeem herself in the eyes of Ponyville, the Cakes, Twilight, and most importantly, herself.

Still, as a consolation prize, of sorts, Silver can still work on a less dangerous way of curing petrification. And there's lots of ponies that would bend over backwards for a potion to mimic magic when a unicorn isn't around or the unicorn doesn't know how to do that spell. Ponyville is mostly an Earth Pony type village and unicorns are in short supply there. The healing droughts would be well appreciated anyway. A farming community would also love insect/pest repellant for the larders of food stocks.
