Luna flew about the sky, guarding the night over Equestria, noticed something unfamiliar in the sky, something that looked Alien. She had used her power of the night to draw this object down from orbit for a second look. It was a Structure Composed of a Gold metal, hexagonal main body, with a thin, large bowl shape at the top. In the center of the bowl, a small radio antenna lie. There were also longer antennas on the sides, 3 of them to be exact. The other side had a Small, golden truss beam, with several radio instruments on it. On one of the sides, like a Large, golden disk with several alien markings on the front. Luna flew it back to the main Canterlot castle and informed her sister for a closer inspection.

You have an interesting concept but the execution of it leaves something to be desired. It is very rushed and you jump around a lot making it somewhat hard to follow. Then... then there are the real world concerns about the probe... by the time Equestria would have found them it would be thousands of years in our future and it would have no power from the RTGs. Plus you can drop the "Equestrian" from the degrees. This has potential but that's all it has right now.

Thanks for the feedback guys. But, unfortunately, this story may take ages to progress. Im a terrible writer, and it took a lot of thought to come up with just the first chapter. This fanfic may be short lived, and may take forever to update. I was just screwing around when I made this, Im not sure how long I can make it...
Wouldn't it take several thousand years for a Voyager probe to reach another solar system? Just imaging how far humanity could have advanced in that time. Far enough that what was sent fourth in youth and isolation might be followed and found. The seeds of peace they carry allowed to grow. Humanity would not be alone but it would be old, an elder race amongst the young and vibrant.
I think I just made myself a little depressed there. This really reminds me of some stories by David Brain.

A couple months ago, I was trying to write something like this, with the very same cover photo, but the name was Humanity's Farthest Journey
But I'm terrible at writing, so I scrapped and deleted it. Commence read.
I finished reading (I googled everything about Voyager 1 and did some reading) and I think the story looks good, but it could definitely use some grammar editing, and you should stop capitalizing letters at random places in a sentence. I would also suggest starting a new paragraph every time someone starts talking.

I wouldn't worry about what you perceive to be your own limited writing abilities. What you have here is a genuinely interesting story, and there are far more descrptive writers in the world who don't have that.
Plus, I'm a sucker for a story that's big on hope, and there's nothing more pure, more driven only by the yearning to know that - definitively - we are not alone. Voyager is the question ... Your story provides an answer, and a damned entertaining one at that.

Ive had a recent fascination with Valve games, as well as the company Valve itself. So when Ch 3 is done, hopefully it will have been worth the wait
