For a changeling, hiding is the only way to survive. Watch as the changeling queen struggles to remain hidden, her body constantly ravaged by sickness. Can she find a cure before it's too late? Plague has come to Equestria, and Chrysalis is Patient Zero.

Actually it's more like allergies or something. What a drama queen.

That was quite amusing!

I love Chrysalis in this.

Is this consensual Chrysalis x Shining Armor? Gonna have to read this later if it is...

I thought it was funny. Really liked the Blueblood subplot.

More!:scootangel:

Blueblood is a hopeless romantic and Luna is in on it?

This is adorable. I love fics that portray Blueblood as not all that bad a guy.

2093392 Me too, though I like it just as much when he's faithful to the show. He's a pretty cool character either way. Thanks for reading!

2093224 Sadly, this one is finished. It was only ever intended to be a single chapter. Other comedy stuff is on the way though. I'm glad you liked it!

2092985 Me too, I had fun with the misdirection in the beginning. I'm glad you were amused :ajsmug:

2092450 I'm glad that you think so

2092676 I thought everybody loves Chrysalis everywhere! Really though, thanks for reading and I'm happy you liked it.

It sometimes gets weird when the jerk-level antagonists get so much flak compared to the actual threats t Equestria on the show.

With how much the fandom despises, say, Diamond Tiara, you'd think she ate a baby on screen, when really, she's just a generic brat kid who'll grow out of it.

2095211 It is rather strange. I've thought about it, but I can't think of a good reason for that. It might just be that some of our villains are lovable and hard to stay mad at.

I think Blueblood's secretly gay.

He must be gay.
I can see no other way.
He should come out today
lest his love go away
And leave him to stay
with the solar array
and guard his toupee
i cant rwite anymore brain hurst

2097875 I am now picturing Blueblood as secretly bald. Like, he started losing his hair at a young age and now he's super sensitive about it. It's a pretty good mental image I think.

Awwww. This feels like it needs a sequel of some sort. :unsuresweetie:

2102053 A sequel? I hadn't intended to make one, but I suppose the next story I'm working on could be considered a sequel. I'm happy about how well this one was received, so I'll think about it. Thanks for reading!

You're welcome.
And, yes, a sequel would be awesome because it feels incomplete to me. Meh, I'm not much of an author so...:rainbowwild:

*Grins* Very silly and fun, Here's hoping for more Blueblood. You may also want to check out the group give blueblood some character.

Perhaps... it's because these jerks are more realistic.

After all, mind-controlling dictators? Personifications of Chaos? Those people are cartoony if not still threatening. Blueblood and Tiara, however, have more realistic levels to their "villainous" (I say this because Blueblood has never been labeled as an "antagonist") qualities. It's quite possibly to meet these characters, or worse, interact with them daily. Instead of being outlandish, they represent everything that is wrong with society. This becomes even more apparent when you take into account the fact that this show has a mostly adult fanbase.

So there are more disliked because they remind people too much of people they hate. Cartoony, entertaining but still, you know, evil characters like Chrysalis and Discord, while certainly bad are fun because they're so over-the-top. More realistic portrayals of villiany come off not fun, but much harsher in comparison.

At least, that's what I convince myself. Hasn't stopped me from liking Blueblood. :applejackunsure:

Yes, and that's exactly the reason it's so disturbing and disgusting to see people want them dead over minor slights.

Because they're applying all that hatred and bile to what could very easily be real, and perfectly normal, people. Fact of the matter is, you probably have a friend or family member who acts a lot like Blueblood to people they don't like. Or maybe a kid sister was like Diamond Tiara as a little kid and just plain grew out of it, as kids do.

A very entertaining read, and a delightful idea all around.

Some parts near the beginning could use some tightening up, but still quite enjoyable.

this reminds me of a story called "the sneezing changeling", where a normal changeling kept changing into random ponies every time he sneezed...

So regardless Chrysalis sneezing is bad for the furniture.
