Spike's slitted pupils were the first to adjust to the brightness of the outside world. He noticed a hastily-scribbled note by the foot of the door, covered with a thin layer of rocky dust. He quickly grabbed the piece of aged parchment and held it up in the air. “This is Root Rum's hoofwriting!”
Twilight snatched the letter away and read it aloud.

Truth is in the eye of the beholder. The greatest evil is imbalance. Good and evil are just words; what matters is what you do. Don't ever give up, my friends; trust your instincts. It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.
