"Don't be so sure, my pet," So Gilda's some kind of old timey villain?
I'll admit, I'm more supportive and sympathetic of Gilda than most of the fandom. That doesn't mean I can't appreciate good writing. You're good at writing sadistic characters. Some people just put the cruelty on the surface and they go around kicking puppies. They need to make characters overtly evil. But you succeed in making the evil inside them deeper than just the skin. You succeed in writing a very predatory stalker. I can't agree with how evil you make Gilda, but this is still very well written, and earned a Thumbs Up.

To be honest, I really love Gilda as a character and thought it would be interesting to expand her role using Fluttershy, as they probably have met during childhood. That led to a headcanon, and that led to...well...a very twisted idea. My co-author thought my ideas were interesting, so we decided to roll with it. I don't think Gilda is pure evil honestly...I would say very short tempered, controlling and somewhat unstable, but not evil.
2062643 I agree, and write her that way. I view her as more a tragic figure than anything else, and always found the climax of her episode heartbreaking. I write Gilda as an orphan. Do you think of her that way? Just curious?
2062643 Also, most of Gilda's dialogue is thanks to my co-author, icemoonbankai. :) I tend to struggle a little with dominant characters (ESPECIALLY regarding sex), so they helped me out a great deal.
2062653 I see Gilda as someone who always felt the world was against her, not in the emo way but for a logical reason. I could see her with a father who is too busy for her, probably a very important Griffon, so Gilda feels she needs to show off and do anything necessary (including mean things) to gain attention. She becomes generally a jerk whose angry nature scared most away, except Dash. So she treasured Dash as a friend and tried not to show her true colors in front of her, all the while keeping threats from that friendship (Fluttershy) away. I also see her becoming somewhat physically attracted towards Fluttershy (because let's face it, she's absolutely beautiful) and finding her easy to control, begins to severely abuse her without Dash knowing, keeping her quiet with manipulation and threats. Regardless, I still don't see her as evil, more like very unstable, very controlling and possessive of what she has. ^_^;
2062669 I enjoy that view of her, aside from the father thing. And yes, I also have always viewed Gilda as attracted to girls, especially Fluttershy and RD (Fluttershy as someone she can dominate, RD as the only person in her whole life who has loved her back. Fluttershy is an evil, possessive love, RD is a genuine, deep, desperate love.) I actually write her that she is ashamed of it, although it's heavily implied that RD is fully aware, just doesn't want Gilda to feel embaressed.
2062684 Ah, that sounds interesting! :) When it comes to my thoughts on that, I would agree. However, Dash does not feel the same way, though would admit to a small crush in the past, as I could see her being in love with Fluttershy but not fully realizing it. For Fluttershy, she had a crush on Dash which died because of Gilda ruining it, then slashing all of her thoughts on relationships when she began to become sexual towards her. However, Gilda has and would never hit or kick Fluttershy, at least in my head. She'll verbally abuse her, molest her, scratch and bite her, slam her into walls or drag her around like a rag doll, but otherwise would never punch/kick her. Most of it would be because it would be too noticeable and Dash WOULD eventually find out (and probably snap), the other half Gilda probably doesn't even know.
2062721 Yeah, i write that RD doesn't "love" Gilda like Gilda loves Dash. But I do write that Rainbow Dash loves Gilda like a sister. Rainbow Dash is most upset, not that Gilda acted like a bully, but that Gilda tried to lie to her. But, that's just me. In my fics, Gilda wouldn't mind hitting or punching Fluttershy, but she is trying to work on her anger.
2062733 I think it's my absolute fondness for Fluttershy that I don't let her hit her...though everything else is fine, I'm so weird.
Though I do remember that in one roleplay I did with a friend, Gilda smacked Fluttershy for letting someone try to flirt with her, which I actually liked since I could picture Gilda acting EXTREMELY possessive and jealous over Fluttershy, which I'll probably stress in this story quite a bit. If you would like to, I have another story (or a series of stories) on my account titled 'Just Keep Smiling'. Nothing too graphic as they're mainly for thirtyminuteponies, but a good taste of what my headcanon is.
2062746 I will look into those, but I am not sure I have the heart to read Gilda knocking around Fluttershy. I really adore Gilda in one way, and find it difficult to read her anyway else. I can't say how much I long for her to return in season 4, but am terrified she will be portrayed even more two dimensionally, which will break my heart. Good luck writing in the future.

I'm honestly going to be surprised if Dash doesn't show up sooner or later to find out what Gilda's doing to Fluttershy. It doesn't seem like she'd be aware of it if this had been a common thing seeing as no matter her ego she is one of the loyalist ponies in Equestria. (Element of Loyalty requirement.)
Oh and before I forget what do people mean by Trigger? I've never understood that.

'Triggering'... I believe it's the word for when someone is reminded of the event, causing all of the negative emotions and possibly some PTSD to occur.
Like waving a toy grenade in front of someone who has shellshock. That'd also be a trigger.
