Every pony knows the old story how how we were once Nightmare Moon, threatening to bring all of Equestria into a time of Eternal Night. What every pony does not know is what was happening to us on the moon during that millennium where we were trapped on the moon. We are Luna, and this is the revelation of what is to come. Equestria will be run into great darkness and the world will burn.
(This is not at all related to future episodes of the My Little Pony. I'm just writing a story to make people wonder what might have happened during the millennium when Luna was cast to the moon as Nightmare Moon.)

This story is actually based off of this song I downloaded recently that was made by wooden toaster. I was deeply inspired by it. You would know it as "Lost On The Moon" if you ever listen to his music. I would have put the video in the description, but the first time I try submitting this, it failed to pass moderation because of it. (Kinda stupid, right?

This was a damn fine read. It's interesting to imagine deeper and more detailed backstories to familiar villains, to picture what could have happened to them that the canon material didn't show us. It can be even more interesting, depending on the author, if they actually have a shared history. In this case, I like the idea that Chrysalis is responsible for sucking the love out of Luna and completing her transformation to Nightmare Moon (at least I think that's what you were suggesting).
That was my favorite line at first, because it was more hip than what Luna would normally say. But then I noticed her speech leaning in that direction bit by bit throughout the rest of her stay on the moon, and it became apparent that she was beginning to speak less like Luna and more like Nightmare Moon.
I'm in the drafting stage for a story in which the four OP villains in the FiM universe interact with each other; interested in seeing how others may have approached the same premise, I went looking for stories with all four of them. This is definitely the best out of the bunch. The only thing that sucks about it is that it hasn't received much attention. I would love to go over this with a fine-toothed comb and point out what needs to be fixed for EqD standards, if you were inclined to submit it.

I thought this would get more attention as well but was disheartened when weeks went by and I only had around 100 views. I would love to get any of my stories on EqD! I tried before but kept getting rejected. I just don't know what went wrong with my work that they would deny it. I work hard to make a good story and I am always satisfied with it and feel more lifted when I read comments like yours and Tachyon Xenophile's.

This part of your comment gave me that invincible feeling again and I must say thank you so much. It feels great to know that you thought my fiction to be the best. I never thought that any of my work would be better because I know there are a lot more people out there like me who could do better. I began to doubt. Until I read your comment of course. Thank you.
Oh and a side note, yes. That is exactly what I had in mind with Chrysalis and Luna. Glad you could see that.
I liked the concept behind this. Not certain I approve of all the arbitrary swearing, it seemed to drag down the level of intelligence a bit. All in all though, very nice.
