2058360 Within my continuity, Celestia would not tell Luna exactly what happened, just tell her she knows Luna ate her cake (and let Luna think it was just a mundane cake.) My thought is that if Luna found out what she did to Celestia, she would be emotionally devastated, so Celestia is trying to protect her. Probably one reason she didn't want Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash talking about it is so Luna wouldn't find out.

2061734 Well, as a writer myself (though I've yet to post anything to FiMFiction) I understand how frustrating it can be to have your story judged based on what people expect to read.
While, as a general rule, the subject matter directly influences how well your story is enjoyed overall, it doesn't necessarily reflect the skill of the author. I figured it was only fair to mention that while I didn't particularly enjoy the subject matter of your story, it was very well written. No outstandingly clumsy or awkward stumbles, no fluff, just story. From a technical standpoint, this was well done.
That said, I REALLY don't get it.
2061924 People thumbing down is especially tragic, because it can be disheartening for up and coming writers. I've been trying to make a name for myself for years, so I can handle rejection. But, I can imagine for some young writers, putting their heart and soul into a fic, only to get a thumbs down because the person doesn't like the character, it can be crushing.
Your words are very kind and touching. I just submitted this one to EQD. Let's... hope they can see what you saw, even if the content is a bit... out there.
2062392 I dislike the whole thumbs up / down system, really. It only gives you two options: Yes or No.
Creative writing doesn't work like that. You can't just assign an arbitrary grade to a piece of creative work. Even though your story isn't one of my favorites, and I really don't get it, I didn't hate it, or even dislike it. Combined with the fact that this is very good writing from a technical standpoint, I can't downvote you. I upvote you because I didn't hate this, and I think that others might like it. Also, again, you wrote well. If I were to give it a star rating, it'd probably be at a 3 out of 5 or so, but even that is too arbitrary.
I read these fics not just for personal enjoyment, but out of a desire to grow as an author and to help others do the same. I hope that when my current project is done, and I post my first story to FiMFiction, others would give me the same kindness.
I'll be watching you, since I'd love to see where you can carry stories of a less... unusual nature.

2101839 I'll admit, every single time I see someone commented on this fic, I expect, "WHAT THE BUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"
And not a stupid question at all. There won't be more chapters to this fic, directly. Everything I have at the moment are all one shots. However, I do have my own MLP canon that I work in. So, in future fics, characters will comment on these events or there will be continuity nods (such as Celestia being sickened by the sight of cake, and Luna not understanding why.) So, this is a one shot, but there might be spiritual successors to this fic in the future.

3383896 This fic is taking place earlier in my canon, so Luna is fresh back from the moon. The Nightmare Night episode took place not too long ago, so she's still slightly bitter. She gets better as my fics go on, because I enjoy characterization. She's never as friendly as Celestia is (its both sides, the ponies are wary of Luna, Luna is wary of the ponies), but she certainly gets better.
