2053805 No, it's definitely Ran-ma. Specifically the kanji 乱馬 for Wild Horse.
This is not really a story, it's a set up for a story. Which is not to say it isn't an awesome set up for a story. The questions left are:
1) How to get him back.
2) Does he even want to go back? Equestira has no insane fiances, no Akane 'the psycho bitch' Tendo ready to physically abuse him for every imagined slight, no deadbeat father who sells him off at every opportunity, no lost boy, Kuno, or Mousse trying to kill him for their own delusional reasons. Given the standard HiE tropes, he could make a place for himself as a monster hunter, martial arts trainer.
3) Given Twilight owes him a big favour, how diffricult would it be for her to break his curse?
4) Could Fluttershy break him of the neko-ken, or at least enable him to get it under control.
Also, might he end up with an Equestrian fiancee? If they can't remove the Jusenkyo curse, maybe they could modify it so his alternate form is a male peagsus. So it's useful, and at least he doesbn't have to deal with gender problems any more. With the Saotome school being so heavily oriented towards aerial attcks I think pegasus would be the best fit.
