I wanted to cover this bit of warfare on this site seeing as though many others have tried before, yielding results that are less than satisfactory. Sometimes other writers try to portray combat in history but either overdue it or undersell it.
I wanted to try my hand at it and see if I could do any better!

The opening is a bit rushed but the battle scene captures the brutality, ugliness and just horror of trench warfare.
So what time periods are you gonna be hitting?
Will you go to a "near future" war (2016-2021) or will you be restricting yourself to 20th century and before?
