I would have never imagined Zecora being a baddie! Granted, she speaks in rhyme and has rather unorthodox magic, but turning Zecora into the heavy here was a stroke of genius. If Zecora was really a baddie, she would be like Ursula, definitely! And I could just imagine Scootaloo taking the bait to get her cutie mark and/or learn to fly. It's her determination to achieve both that has made Scoots my second-favorite Cutie Mark Crusader (my favorite being Apple Bloom)!
Anyway, great work! For further chapters, might I suggest:

2044744 Oh, be prepared is going to be in here, no worries... Don't know about The Greatest Criminal Mind, though. I love Vincent Price, but again, some situations and villains are more difficult to translate into pony than others.
I really liked this chapter, though I feel that it should have been called Dark Magic by my Side if just so that the rhymes come out easier.

Liked this though I do admit I miss the "Won't you shake a poor sinner's hand (hoof?)" line. Otherwise, I can see Trixe as Dr. Facilier. A showmare for a showman after all.
Reminds me of a user on dA who's done something similar though a bit more simpler than this. Have you also considered Snuff Out The Light ? It's Yzma's cut song from The Emperor's New Groove way back when it was still Kingdom of the Sun. I imagine that a song cursing the sun would be particularly fitting in a setting such as this.
