Linkin Pony- Recharge

Part 51

All of the ponies gathered around. They moved the dead hybrid bodies to the side, and also placed them in the energy lasers, where they would turn to dust. A few ponies had cuts and wounds. HeartFelt came up to SpinningNote, who had a slash across his cheek.
"Do you need me to help? Your cheek-"
"No, no I'm fine!" Spinning snapped. "I don't need any help, this is nothing. I'll just die of blood loss." He siad in a joke.
"I'm not sure if that means you want help or not." HeartFelt tilted her head.
Spinning just gave her a blank stare for a while. He stood there, motionless, then suddenly jumped when he saw the other ponies moving. Most of them went back out towards the camp. Others in the camp met up with them, worried about the hybrid break-in.
"See, this is why we need to work!" HyperBlitz called out.
"Yes..." CharmingRhythm looked around. "And will all of you agree to help us?" All of the ponies mumbled, agreeing. "Good, becasue there is a lot of work to do. We need to place energy posts, to keep hybrids away."
"And make scout teams go out, to stop hybrids, and destroy nodes." BlazingFlair added. "And probably get some ponies to go around, gathering energy. Then some ponies to build things, and grow plants, and-"
"Alright Blazing, we know, you don't have to keep going on." FatherTune muttered.
HyperBlitz stepped up to the side of Rhythm. He looked around at all the ponies, whose gazes all stared back at them in anticipation. All of the ponies that sat in front of them trusted them, and would follow them.
"God, how much work we have ahead..." Hyper sighed.
"I'm sure we can do it. And it will be worth it." Rhythm replied.
"Of course it will be worth it!" ThunderCharm told him, her aqua eyes glowing.
"Yeah." Rhythm stood up strait, and gained a positive posture. "Bring the world back to a state that is more capable of living, how can that not be worth it? Nopony deserves this world. Non of you here." He scanned the crowd. "Those hybrids that we killed, they were once like us. They were ponies that ate, drink, and loved. But they made the wrong decisions, and chose technology, and consuming their resources over trying to save them."
"Yeah! Speech!" A stallion yelled out from the crowd.
Rhythm shook his head and laughed. " To think, any of use could have done that. Thanks that non of us did. I would have hated loosing one of my best friends-" The unicorn turned to his group. "And loosing the ones I love... But even though all of this hell we've been through, we've stayed together." Rhythm looked back to the crowd. "And we've brought more ponies together. As family. Everypony is one... and we will stay that way. And that's how we beat the hybrids."
HyperBlitz took a few steps forward, and lifted his head. "And we need to start over. All of us. Like Rhythm said, we've been through hell. And we need to break out of it! We need to rebuild this world, and make it a home again. Even if it seemed like this hell has gone on forever, become a part of us. It's like this is our normal life now..."
CharmingRhythm continued by him. "Starting over might be harder then we realize. But I'm sure that we can do it... But we got to forget all of this that has happened."
"And let go of our mistakes." ThunderCharm added. All of the ponies around nodded.
DawnShy tried to poke out of the crowd. The green pegasus stood in front of the Linkin Ponies, and her friends. "So, the hardest part of ending is starting again..." She gave a little smirk, and ThunderCharm smiled too.
Hyper turned his head. "Hey, Feather, what can you do with you're guitar." He spoke in a way that he would understand what he was saying. "Do you think you can get the right notes?"
"It might sound different, but I can try!" FeatherTune stood up on his rear-legs.
"I can give it a go too!" EchoBeat told Hyper. "I can do what I did when we were fighting the hybrids."
"I know whats going on!!!" ThunderCharm squeeled. "I want to help!! There's some glass, it can make a pretty close chime noise if I tap it with my hooves!
"Do You know the exact beat?" CharmingRhythm asked.
"I'm pretty sure! But I don't think everypony knows the song. I think a few do. Maybe they can tag along somehow." ThunderCharm looked over. "But, I never noticed how many ponies there are. And I know many told me they have listened to your music before. I even let them listen to my MP3 when ever I got it charged!"
"I think we're good them. We should at least get a little help." BlazingFlair replied. "We got the whole band, you, DawnShy HeartFelt, we know that all of you know the words."

ThunderCharm started to tap her hooves on the glass, and EchoBeat tapped his against some metal.Some other ponies who knew the song seemed to try mimicking other noises, with other materials. FeatherTune played his guitar with a high pitched riff.

CharmingRhythm stepped forward with a bright smile on his face. He started to rap, with a certain melody. The other ponies in the band followed along with him.

"This is not the end, this is not the beginning
Just a voice like a riot rocking every revision
But you listen to the tone in the violent rhythm
And though the words sound steady something empty with 'em
We say yeah, with fists flying up in the air
Like we're holding on to something that's invisible there
Cause we're living at the mercy of the pain and the fear
Until we get it, forget it, let it all disappear"

Then all the ponies began to sing, Hyper's voice overpowering all of them.

"Waiting for the end to come
Wishing I had strength to stand
This is not what I had planned
It's out of my control
Flying at the speed of light
Thoughts were spinning in my head
So many things were left unsaid
It's hard to let you go"

Then Hyper's voice got more powerful, and some other ponies began to harmonize.

"I know what it takes to move on
I know how it feels to lie
All I wanna do
Is trade this life for something new
Holding onto what I haven't got"

EchoBeat, ThunderCharm, and Feather tried to play a little louder now, while they sang also.

"Sitting in an empty room
Trying to forget the past
This was never meant to last
I wish it wasn't so

I know what it takes to move on
I know how it feels to lie
All I wanna do Is trade this life for something new
Holding onto what I haven't got "

All of the ponies started to rap again, Rhythm, Hyper, and Spinning's voices were the loudest.

"What was left when the fire was gone
I thought it felt right but that right was wrong
All caught up in the eye of the storm
And trying to figure out what it's like moving on
And I don't even know what kind of things I said
My mouth kept moving and my mind went dead
So I'm picking up the pieces now where to begin?
The hardest part of ending is starting again "

FeatherTune payed his guitar with a continuing sound as the noise grew louder.

"All I wanna do is trade this life for something new
Holding onto what I haven't got "

Most of the ponies now rapped with Rhythm, but ThunderCharm and a few other sang with Hyper.

"This is not the end, this is not the beginning
Just a voice like a riot rocking every revision"

"I'm holding onto what I haven't got-"

"But you listen to the tone in the violent rhythm
And though the words sound steady something's empty within 'em

All of the ponies stopped, as Hyper held that note. When he finnished, he looked at all of the ponies, his brown eyes filled with joy, he took in a deep breath again.

"I'm holding on to what I haven't got!!!"

All of the ponies cheered, and smiled. They all hugged each other. All of the ponies were content, and excited.The Linkin Ponies seemed to be their heroes. Maybe that was because they were. They hadn't noticed how much music could help everypony. There was hope in the air, and how they could all rebuild the world, and restore resources. It was time to recharge.
