21-year old Isaac Watts accidentally winds up in Equestria, the land of his dreams. However, not everything is happy and bright. Inb4 cringing over HiE semi-self-insert fics; I am quite fully aware that this genre is... not particularly highly praised, but I've had this story idea for too long to not turn it into a story. Read at your own risk!

I've seen many HiE fics in my time, but this really outshines the rest.
I actually thought this would be another bad fanfic, bit I was wrong.
Pacing could be improved a little, but details and such are great.
Can't wait to see what you do with this!

I consider myself pretty good at writing poems/lyrics and such, but I've never truly tried a story before this fic, so I was afraid my little knack for short strings of words wouldn't translate well into much longer and more complicated strings of words. I appreciate the praise indeed, thank you so very much.
Hah, yes, I've read plenty of... not-so-good HiE fics (most of them are not so good, actually), and I've been trying to glean all the knowledge that I can out of failed stories so I can try to avoid the same mistakes, so it's good to know that this story isn't a TOTAL loss yet. Hahaha.
Good story so far, but word of advice. When the dialogue switches to another character, make it another paragraph. It's hard to distinguish who's talking when all the dialogue is in the same paragraph.

That there is the main reason that I'm planning on re-writing the first three chapters. If I had done that to begin with, there wouldn't be as much of a rush to redo them, but I agree, not spacing the paragraphs out with each new character's lines was a bad idea. Starting with Chapter Five, I've formatted them in a more proper way, and should be easier to read. The first four will get a similar treatment soon.

Looks like blueberries, tastes like blue berries, smells like blueberries, sounds like blueberries must be blueberries.... nope trueberries.... makes me wonder if there is some variation of the the strawberry and the like in the everfree forest.
At least the ponies aren't freaking out.
