hmm, i'm pretty sure that the horsemen of the Apocalypse are war, death, pestilence and famine since i had to study them for class

for some reason, the name Pestilence just doesn't strike me as a conquer type as described in the book of Revelations. And while there are arguments supporting the white horse/rider as both, I'm going to stick with the Biblical inference of the White Horse as Conquest.

Spike doesn't see the Light when he dies, I wonder what that implies. Perhaps he is stuck in Limbo or Purgatory due to Dragons naturally being a less than pure creature.

Apple Bloom and Applejack have a unique sisterly relationship in this story, that just drips with sarcasm and "one-two" jabs at one another. I've grown exhausted with all the Momma AJ style portrayals whenever she deals with Apple Bloom. So I modeled this AJ and AB after my sister and her oldest son, who like to talk crap to one another... but with love.

Wow, Applebloom seems pretty calm at the idea of a pony dying on her couch. So does everypony else it seems like.
While I like the story so far, I really don't think you quite understand the significance of death, especially to a child. Are you seriously telling me that Applebloom,
walking in to find a pony dead on the couch, would not be the slightest bit freaked out? And neither is AJ? And both have no problem joking about a pony dying not a
minute earlier? I'm sorry, but why are all the ponies in this story complete sociopaths?

I could give you a really long and poignant and well thought out answer. But, this is a dark comedy. Death is funny.
Try not to take this story so literally. It's an exercise in allegory, and comedy.

I understand. I just wish, in this case, that you had decided to do this in a different setting or something. This is just me, but I find I enjoy darker comedy more when either the characters are blank slates, or it's made clear the setting is different. See, this is a dark comedy, but the setting seems pretty much the same as canon Equestria (aside from the obvious difference of their being a creator). In other words, the setting makes me expect to see the characters acting as they normally would, which is why seeing them act that way at random points just threw me off.
Still, I get what you were going for. Good luck with the rest of the fic.

At the time, I was overloaded with writing two novels, and I didn't/couldn't get a break long enough to work on this story. After enough time had passed, I made the tough decision to put it on semi-permanent hiatus.
I have outlined the next chapter, and have begun toying with it, though the momentum has been lost.
Before I choose to upload a new chapter though, I want to make sure that it maintains the same level of quality as the rest. I won't say it'll never get finished, but I just don't see myself approaching it any time soon these days.
