Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, and Applejack are enjoying a peaceful day in Ponyville. However, all sense of tranquility is shattered when Twilight receives an urgent summons from Luna. Princess Celestia has been attacked while investigating a strange fog that has appeared around the mining village of Manestown! Now it is up to Rainbow Dash and her five best friends to discover who is responsible. Armed with the Elements of Harmony, the six champions of Equestria are prepared to face any danger. However, they soon find themselves in a confrontation unlike any they have ever known. Friendship may be the greatest power known to pony-kind, but is it truly enough to drive away Fear?
Facing Fear will be the first arc of a much larger story.

Im not Teacher, but its hard coming up with characters, Villans have been rigged dry, like an old dish rag.
Unless you come up with something insane or just silly for a villan, how they act or what they do is nothing short of routine.

Life has kept me busy, and this was actually a part of what was going to be a much longer chapter. I've decided to split it up to make it more manageable for people to read. Thanks to that though, chapter 4 should have a much faster turn around. 
Before I read it, what is the Dark tag for?
And how bad does it get ?
7917864 The dark tag is due to the fact that the story has some more mature tones than those found in the actual show. However, there is no gore. While I feel gratuitous violence can be done... tastefully... that is not the intention of this piece. This is a story about what fear can mean to different people (or ponies) and, more importantly, what the definition of bravery is. Therefore while there may be events which can be considered shocking (and dark), I hope that there will be nothing here that people can view as gross or disgusting (at least as far as gore is concerned).

Haha, yeah it's been a while. But I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. Writing was perhaps my favorite hobby, so I'm trying to make sure I organize my time so I can keep these stories going. I don't expect to be able to do anything crazy like a chapter a day. bBt if I can manage at least one a week or so, I'll be happy.
