I think everyone has wondered how Discord was defeated, or in what way he was defeated. Well here is one thought of how it was done
Author's note: This is my first story and I really would appreciate it if y'all can give me feedback.

The rainbow hit discord and his body became rigid. Discord immediately craned his neck downward and saw his lower body was already to stone, and...

"Discord" should be capitalized.

“Yes lulu, we did it. All ponies of Equestria are now free.”

"Lulu" should be capitalized.

Other than that, good job.

Discord's posture never struck me as being indicative of him being in a fight at the time Celestia and Luna used the Elements on him. If anything, it looks like he was in the process of giving his Evil Plot Speech or possibly a long-winded Why You Suck speech to the alicorn sisters. In other words, he was so busy monologuing that he was completely unprepared for their attack. It's odd but that is more or less exactly what happened with him against the Mane Six - he was evidently unable to believe that he was in danger so he was busy acting out rather than trying to defend himself.

Twice could be a coincidence but I'm starting to wonder if this is a key flaw in his personality. It should be interesting to see if the Mane Six can exploit this again in the upcoming (and, I hope, better than it sounds) "Keep Calm and Flutter On".

His pose did strike me as being odd, but then i rememberd the scene in 'mummy, tomb of the dragon emporer' where the emperer is merly INSIDE the statie and it was just the same thing, just to make him look like a STAUE but, whatever. good story non the less, i enjoyed it!
