What if one day, you woke to see,
Your hair was not what seemed to be?
Would you panic? Would you screech?
In Pinkie's case, yes to each.

Pinkie's mane is not so cute,
For on her scalp, something took root,
Fearing for life and to make things right,
She seeks the help of Ms. Twilight.

What will ensue and how will it end?
Just take a seat and read, my friend.
Hope you enjoy with all my heart,
Because writing this, headaches took part.

Ow, my brain. Too many couplets and slant rhymes, I think my speech patterns might be scrambled.

Nice to see you're writing again, Sanity.

This is pretty funny.

Of course, if her mane was a symbiote, Pinkie probably wouldn't be in danger, but what the hay!

I have no idea what all that means, but I'm guessing that's bad? :applejackunsure:

1924166

I'm trying to at least. :pinkiecrazy: And I appreciate the thought that you consider that a good thing. :pinkiehappy:

I can say with 100% honestly that i have never read anything like that before....ever.....I approve

Man, Pinkie ain't got no time for big words! :flutterrage:

Seriously though, the first thing that came to mind when I thought 'symbiote' was Venom from Spiderman. I'm pretty sure symbiosis includes parasitism as well, but I'm willing to accept that I'm wrong.

Haha! Thanks! I aim to be different! :pinkiecrazy:

When I read "Pinkie" and "symbiote" in the same sentence this is the first thing that came to mind

try reading it in Samuel L. Jackson's voice:pinkiesmile:

I'm not an expert by any means, but a quick search revealed that parasitic relationships are indeed a subset of symbiotic relationships, as you indicated. Parasitic symbiosis is also called antagonistic or antipathetic symbiosis. Also the word symbiosis comes from the Greek words 'syn' (with) and 'bios' (life) so that makes sense. I was under the impression that all symbiotic relationships were beneficial to both parties, guess not! :derpytongue2:

Either way, the picture of Twilight giving her 'diagnosis' is funny. Not a masterful poem to be sure, but good nonetheless. Good work. :moustache:

Haha! Yes! Carnage is best symbiote! :rainbowwild:

Hahahaha! That image reminds me of this (explicit language warning) --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CseO1XRYs9I

You learned all of that after only a quick search?! How much do you learn in a cram session?!?! :pinkiegasp:

Yeah, I'm no poet by any means, no matter how much my ego protests, but thank you! :twilightsheepish:

that was cute, i loved it!:pinkiehappy:

1925887just to add my two cents usually symbiosis denotes a mutually beneficial relationship parasitism is usually mentioned separately. There is also a name for when a relation ship only benefits the attached but not at the expense of the attachee that I can't remember the name of. Then again what would two of my science teachers know.

Thanks!

woffle pls

Such a surprisingly unique writing style for this place. You don't see a lot of rhyming poetry here. I like it.

*bows* Thank you, Your Majesty.

Wait, what? I mean, how? HUH? You know what, just take it. Just take my thumbs up. This was amazing.

Haha! Thanks! Your reaction was well worth the trouble of writing this. :rainbowlaugh:
