No, no, no, what I write is cheesy; what you wrote is fucking fantastic. I call it getting featured, because this totally deserves it. It's near close to impossible in finding a good fanfic centered around Photo Finish, let alone a romance one; it's a miracle I found this. You did a simply fabulous job here, dude, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I loved this fic from beginning to end, and I don't even really ship Photo Finish with anypony, with the slight exception of Hoity Toity, but you... damn. You made Redheart and Photo work. I don't know what you signed up for or what it had to with writing this fic, but am I glad you wrote it. You made my dreary day (in both weather and events) a sunny one. Good on ya, mate. Have some mustaches.

Photo Finish doesn't get used often enough. Her character's kinda open for use but it never gets done. Nice work you did here.
It is both heart warming and heart breaking all in the same story, Wonderful work.
An enjoyable fic, I don't think I have ever read a good Photo Finish one before, and her being paired with Red Heart just seemed perfect!

It's these stories that make me re-asses you and how you write. I sometimes forget just how much of a heavy hitter you can be, and hell, this one hit very hard. As I told you before, the little bit with Octavia and the rest of the group just forming together to get through studies really adds atmosphere and depth, even if it was just a spur of the moment thing. As for Red Heart and Photo Finish... ouch. The ending hurt. It really did. I'd show you the bite marks, but they're too grizzly to grace your eyes.
The descriptions you have are really quiet fluid and to the point. There's not a lot, but what you use cements the picture in mind, and they're actually quite colorful. The mood was well done, and I like how everything really just meshed together so well.
I will say there was one thing that was a bit off to me:
First, empathic is spelled wrong, it should be empathetic.
Second, this is the only part that felt rushed and slightly contrived. I know there was a word limit, but I think she should have taken some more prodding to divulge this info. It's just a bit cliche, the whole "the cute girl get's her to belt out her life story" thing.
Everything else, though? Simply amazing. You can count this as one huge success

. Photo Finish is one of the most uncharacterized background ponies in the show, and yet, against all odds, you've just made me incredibly depressed over her

How could you just end it there, author? That's just not cool, man. Now I'm sad over the loneliness of a cartoon pony who had almost no character development whatsoever. Now I'm gonna have to write a fic about her with a happy ending just so a part of my soul doesn't die

Very nice job, sweet and sad. I hope that Photo Finish gets a bit more attention. She's an interesting character, and she's fun to write.
