I like how you don't go into that much detail about her death. It puts the focus on the memories of her life instead of just making this another deathfic.

Despite not being an Appledash fan I really liked this. These type of fics are the fics that the fandom does best. They make the ponies seem so life like that we actually think we're part of their lives. After all of this manly tears have definatly been shed. :pinkiesad2:

R.I.P Applejack an honest and hard working but loyal farmpony. :fluttercry:

i normally avoid grieving stories especially after my mom passed the week before thanksgiving , don't apologize i hate pity, but this story was really well thought out if this does not win im curious what will meybe youll be a good sport and post a link of the winner. you did a great job in my opinion so be proud. :rainbowdetermined2:

Nice work. :pinkiesad2: Despite the fact that I think the Appledash ship is a bit cheesy unless done really, really well. The sentiment was in the right place, though, so it worked.

Also, what 1883580 said.

This was beautiful! I loved this story, especially the ending. It was really well written. Almost made me tear up! And I NEVER cry!

I love story's that start of sad but have an uplifting ending. BTW poor applejack :fluttercry:

So wait, what killed her?

The contest runners didn't enter this story into the contest. Oh well, I'm still glad I wrote it and I will post a link to the winners once they are revealed.

Sometimes your family are the people who choose to stick it out with you through the worst times because your worth so damn much the rest of the time.

So, here are the contest winners, if anyone was still curious. I haven't read them yet but since 1884032 asked for them I decided to post them here.

i've read this story 3 times now, and it still hasn't failed to stir my emotions. :fluttercry:

I really enjoyed this piece. There isn't much detail about her death and it focuses more on Rainbow instead which I found was very fitting. This story just breaks my heart.
