Actually, the short chapters tend to give us more of a 'memory-ish' feel than the longer ones.

This is very well written, if I may say. Although our views on descent chapter length may be different (for me, 373 words are an introduction to a chapter, not a whol chapter), I still believe that so long as you manage to catch the emotion and share it with your readers, the story will blossom.
