Short form:
A story by a relatively new author, “The Seaponies” is built on a decent concept, but has some significant problems. It has a bit of romance and some surprises in store for a reader who keeps reading until the end. I enjoyed the read mostly because of the ending, but I think that the author could do with putting a lot more time and effort into the scenery and characters.

I like the story but you move way to fast in this first chapter and your way of writing is very dry. This doesn't read well as a story, try using more imagery and see if you can make it a little less robotic.
