Somewhere in the USA. Probably older than you. And something about MLP:FIM makes me want to write stories. Unfortunately, being gainfully employed cuts into my writing time.

Trixie uses the power of the legendary Alicorn Amulet to defeat Twilight Sparkle in a magic duel. With the help of Zecora, Twilight Sparkle is reminded of a power even greater, the power of six.

A humorous alternate take on the events of the episode Magic Duel.

In the episode Magic Duel, when Zecora mentioned the six, my first thought was of a different six. From there came this simple story.

Yeah, I was thinking something similar.
But this is much better.
Especially the last line.

You horrid beast, how could you do banish the Great and Powerful Trixie on the moon!:flutterrage::flutterrage:

I thought Zecora's hint referred to something else, as well. And besides, with the CMC and the Apple Family helping out, that's not really the power of SIX, is it? More like the power of nine.

Geez, Twilight. You really don't know just how much you and Trixie have in common.

That could have worked....

Bwahahaha! :rainbowlaugh: You know this is what I originally thought too...:rainbowhuh:

Nice story!

The most logical outcome, of course.
Very funny.
:trixieshiftright:
The great and powerful Trixie doesn't approve.

:ajsmug::yay::pinkiehappy::rainbowlaugh::raritywink::twilightsmile:
The mane six do however.

I'm glad I wasn't the only person disappointed at the severe lack of 'Taste the Rainbow Motha Fucka!' in this episode.

:trixieshiftleft:
Hahah Trixie got trolled

Ah, a nice little Revenge Fic. Just what the doctor ordered.

See, I was hoping it was a six shooter

You know, I'm wondering why I've only seen a story like this now.

I was thinking the same thing, except the banishing to the moon part. Trixie's not an alicorn. She does need to eat and breathe. How is she going to survive on the moon?

“Nopony challenges Twilight Sparkle over matters of magic. Nopony.”

What if Celestia or Luna wanted to challenge her to see how far she's come?:twilightoops:

OWWWW!!! MY SIDES! :rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:

1744175 Since the moon is made of green cheese, Trixie will have something to eat. And let's just say there's an atmosphere there. It's magic!

Nopony. Not noalicorn.

dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/Twilight_Sparkle_lolface.png Oh Twilight, you trolled her good in this one.

And eh, didn't think of the Elements of Harmony, but moreso the power of her friendship with her friends (though didn't occur in first watching). Also think this should be tagged AU, just cause it kinda is, in how it ended. But up to you. :twilightsheepish:

Well, really two of the three CMC (at least in Ponyville) and remainder of the Apple Family, again in Ponyville.

1744682 As for alternate universe, I thought about it, and decided not to tag it as such. Were this a continuing story, based on the consequences of sending Trixie to the moon :trixieshiftleft::trixieshiftright:, I'd agree it's definitely needed. As a one shot? Every fic could be considered its own alternate universe.

1744770
Yeah, I'm aware of this. At least, if it's based off a show such as this when new episodes are constantly coming out (well, sort of) and isn't mostly original work, like fandom I used to be in (Pokemon). :twilightsheepish: Eh, nevermind then. I just should've left it at first line.

I was actually very glad they didn't use the Elements of Harmony. You can't whip them out and blow away every little thing with them.

Jealousy-crazed goddess bent on causing eternal darkness: Justified.

Formerly-imprisoned Incarnation of Chaos back for revenge? Also justified.

Massive horde of love-eating shapeshifters taking over Canterlot? Justified, if a little overkill.

An ordinary unicorn with a power-boosting amulet? Way overkill.

I thought they were going to use the Elements of Harmony too.
But Trixie actually won here. She broke the element of magic.ALL HAIL THE ELEMENT OF DARKNESS! :twilightangry2:
1744682 How do you do the Trollight emoticon?

Honestly, I'm glad the writers didn't make this the ending for the Magic Duel. If they did, I wouldn't be here typing this comment. My table would of been flipped already.

1742560
Yeah, that was the first thing I thought too.
:twilightblush: : "Oh right, she's using an evil magic artifact and we have the Elements of Harmony. Derp."

WAIFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!! :raritydespair:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! :raritycry:

Maybe you can get Luna to ferry you back? :applejackunsure:

1773775 :trixieshiftleft: Stay on the moon, or go back where SuperChaosKG is waiting for me? :trixieshiftright:

1773851

One of those is a great idea.

1775216 I bet if You let yourself be banished it would really impress her.
"Why were you banished?" "I came after you." "You came to the moon to rescue me?" "No, just to be with you."

I actually meant stay on the moon.

Interrupted. Without any neighsayers. Allowing her to perfect her craft and become the best illusionist in the world!

And when Luna brings her back, impressed with her skill, Trixie shall become, A LEGEND!! :pinkiehappy:

Although, I wouldn't mind being her only companion.

Wait... So you're saying this is supposed to be funny? :rainbowhuh:

All you did was replace the scene containing a clever trick with one containing the Elements. That's not funny, it's boring. I get the OOCness at the end was supposed to be a punchline of sorts, but if I am correct about that assumption, then it really fell flat for me. Sending the amulet to the sun was unoriginal and sending Trixie to the moon was mean-spirited, especially considering Twilight's reaction to it afterwards.

All in all, the original episode was much more amusing.

Considering all the jerkiness Trixie put everypony through in "Magic Duel", regardless of whether she was corrupted or not (I don't care one bit), I say this ending, sans the last line, is a lot better. At least in this, she's shown to pay for her crime, unlike in the episode. If there's anything I hate more than sucky or vile villains, it's Karma Houdinis. Even in "Boast Busters", I couldn't stand Trixie, but "Magic Duel" gives me enough definitive ground to say that Trixie is my most hated character in the entire FiM Canon.

:twilightoops:But I digress...thanks for an entertaining, and all-around more satisfying, alternate ending.

That was 20% cooler than the original ending :rainbowdetermined2:. but definitely not very twilight. but don't take that to mean I didn't enjoy the story when in fact the opposite is true.

2228809 It's definitely a meaner Twilight. All the show's villians should be glad the protagonists are as nice as they are.

That was hilarious! :pinkiecrazy:

2079628 To be fair, in Boast Busters she was more sinned against than sinning.

Yes she didn't treat Rarity, Rainbow and Applejack nicely, but they were heckling her. And she didn't summon the Ursa Minor, Snip's and Snails did. What she did do was try to stop it, even if her efforts failed, she did at least stand her ground and distract it from causing further damage until Twilight got there. She ended up with her cart destroyed and running off into the night, destitute. A rather harsh punishment for making some boasts that no-one with an ounce of intelligence would have considered to be anything more than a tall tale.

However, in Magic Duel she was a monster, and deserved to be slapped far harder than she was.
