Garbo

A Pasty Plebeian Pencil Pusher

T

In an alternate reality, Davenport - the stallion well all know lovingly as the Quill and Sofa guy - barely manages to scrape together bits by selling not quills and sofas, but pots and pans on the streets of Canterlot.

I find this... oddly charming. I like it. Looking forward to more.

That's a good way to describe it, and and I'm glad to see the intent got across to a reader. I do have more stuff, too. If you like this kind of story, I would recommend Market Ponies, although I'm not sure If and when I'm continuing that particular story. Everything else that's good that I've written is in the featured box on the top right of my user, if yo have any interest. Thanks for the fave!

Faved.

Very good man. Reading this, I'm even happier that you've helped me edit so many of my stories.

Now time to give you a fave. Looking forward to where this story is headed.

Actually, it's done. Silly me, I left it incomplete. I could continue this someday, but really, the intent was for a one-shot. Also, I'm planning on doing a different multi-parter with this character.

You should, man. Not a lot of fics dealing with Davenport.

Shame you got a bad time slot, this deserves more views.

I didn't really think much of this when I wrote it, so I didn't submit it at the best possible time slot. I'll be able to get this up to at least 20 thumbs with groups, and I'll see how much higher it gets.
But yeah, I'm writing another story with Davenport. He is literally, I kid you not, my favorite pony as far as fan fiction is concerned. If you've read Life and Times of a Winning Pony by Chengar Qordath, my story is going to be similar in structure to that one in that it has a cast of mostly background characters and gives them their own story.

But that would be no fun. Besides, I think the randomness of the picture portrays the randomness of the story perfectly.

oh, wait, you were talking about my profile pic
OH!
I didn't read that right.
I'm actually thinking of taking my thanksgiving avatar and putting a Christmas hat on it. That would be fun.

*grins* Very nice. Yet another example of your awesome work.
