I agree with 1794620, best to put your best foot forward. Good grammar and spelling in the short description make the story appear more polished to anyone taking a quick look for something to read.

Oh, agreed. I wrote a blog post all about how to do a good description, and one of the priorities is getting the mechanics as perfect as possible.
As for this story... Short, dark, and VERY effective. There's a LOT of depth indicated here, both in terms of world building, and in terms of relationships between Princess Celestia and *spoiler redacted*
How do I make those new spoiler tags work, anyway? I'd like to say more without spoiling this story.

It's not harsh, it's honest. Poor grammar is harder to read/make sense of, and it's a good guess that the story itself has the same quality of grammar as the description.
