[Two-parter] When Mare Do Well first came to town in the form of "The Pink Avenger", a precursor to the identity, she changed the town in a profound way, more so than most ponies, who know her mainly as an obscure old comic book superhero, realizes. Could it be that the mysterious pink avenger just never went away? What secrets are hidden under a thin layer of dye?

So Owlor, what the hell is up with this story.

Well, to begin with, this act takes place in season one, some time after Boast Busters. At this point, Mare Do Well as we know her, doesn't exist yet, except as the name of a rather obscure superhero, who's otherwise quite different. In short: The concept behind this story is exploring the idea of "what if Mare Do Well was actually a legacy hero..." well, a FAKE legacy hero, but still. The next Act will bridge the gap between this hero and the modern mare do well. Y'know, I think this story makes a little more sense if you're familiar with the convuted storytelling of comic books.

Comic book history helps but I think this is graspable even if you're not. I confess i've only a vague knowledge and I still grasped onto this and never let go. This completely sucked me in, from the stellar cover image to the characters to the plot to the very end. I adored the characterization of the Mayor and Forget-Me-Not as well. I don't know how or why I wasn't following you before but that;'s definitely been remedied
