Applejack and the others got home from Canterlot reeeeaaal fast. That or the changeling was out for a long time and nopony bothere to check the barns when something crashed into it. Either way, bit of a plot hole.
I like how it's established that changelings use 'natural' magic. That was a nice touch, IMO.
1652965 well Canterlot is pretty fucking close to Ponyville, only about 5 kilometres off when you think about it. Maybe 6 kilometres. Anyway, its understandable that they would get back fairly fast.

Interesting choice for how Twi and Co. to deal with the Changeling, leaving it somewhere in the Everfree Forest... I would love to see more, especially an explanation for why the Changeling was only exiled instead of suffering some other punishment.
