This story is part of the Royal Road collaboration, an alternate history of our favorite ponies during Equestria's Crusades. Rated "Dark" at other's request, since the average episode of Doctor Who is dark compared to the average MLP:FIM episode.

So, welcome to another world, dear readers! It's part of the Royal Road group, a collaboration of writers inventing a Tarot-themed version of Equestria during the Crusades. Previous readers of mine are no doubt wondering the same thing: is this version of the Doctor supposed to be 'John Smith' from "The Three Whooves"?
Well, I know. See if you figure it out.
Previous standalone stories in the series include Derpy's tale: The Fool and the World and Pinkie and Fluttershy's story Crossroads of Destiny. Of course, this story is intended to stand alone.

Never watched Doctor Who before (yet) and I can only imagine how much of a shock the doctor will get if and when you guys write together about him meeting Derpy... if she remembers him or... gah... alternate universes, endless choices, infinite possibilities... I am a ramble... thing...
I find the concept of this collaboration to be most interesting. Partially because I found your reference doc, there's some pretty interesting stuff in there. At present, I predict that The Master will have ownership of Discord's Diary. If not... well... you probably thought of it, and have something better planned. In any case, I eagerly anticipate more to come, from all the authors.

I admit, I'm a bit confused as to whether to regard this as just another incarnation of the Doctor who has the perspective of somepony who knows what historians will think in a thousand years as filtered through amnesia, or if it's specifically John Doo-Smith who is currently somewhat lost among parallel dimensions.
