Collected here are the interviews and impressions of Jade Ring as he sought out the Bearers of the Elements of Harmony to gather their recollections of the day that Princess Luna rose to power.
Originally written in script format, I've restructured the story into a narrative that I hope still captures the essence of my original work. Additionally, new details have been added revealing the ultimate fate of certain charcters. I hope my readers will enjoy this revised look at one of my personal favorite works.

first i would have to say that this story is good as far as story plot, writing skills, and grammar use but in my personal commenting opinion i will have to say this. im sorry that the main character is based off your name cause it makes this comment all the more hard to say but i have to say this. the main character is an ass the way Luna is portrayed in this story makes her look like the biggest douche in the world and personally i like to beat the holy hell out of that pony for giving away the coup and nightmare moon for killing lunas sister after all we cant really blame Luna since nightmare moon is the evil that took over Luna unwillingly oh and the fact i don't care what anyone says, the fact that there was an army waiting all this time and nobody noticed wow did everyone go blind fuck even a blind squirrel would notice that........... today may be filled with night but tomorrow a new dawn arises SPRING FORTH BY BROTHERS AND TOGETHER WE WILL TAKE DOWN THE LUNAR REPUBLIC...............cheers and screaming applause filled the stadium
I love New Lunar Republic fics! Especially if there's a widespread rebellion boiling... This was amazing, by the way. Kind of inspiring and yet depressing at the end. But the fact that you may be continuing has seriously made me so happy! Please, do add more. I would love to read it!

Thank you for the compliments to my writing style as to the characterization of the narrator in the grand scheme of things the character of Jade Ring sprung up about the same time as I needed a pen name so it worked out as a happy coincidence I'm a member of the NLR anyway so it's not so much a stretch that my OC would be as well This is an alternate timeline where Nightmare Moon was simply a facade put up by Luna When the Elements of Harmony 'freed her' she simply shed her bigger form in order to lull her sister into a false sense of security The army was based out of the farthest reaches of Equestria so of course no one would notice them until it was too late I'm glad you liked the story, and I hope you find happiness in the fact that I subscribe to the idea that no republic/empire/kingdom lasts forever.

1568253 the story is an interesting read but come on, the moon forever thing its getting a bit old don't ya think. here is the thing its like applejack said no pony can live in a world shrouded in night and by the time Luna sees that she will truly be alone cause she will be the only living thing on equis. she may be immortal but that doesn't mean shit when even immortals still need food to sustain themselves i mean look at this realistically ok. if she is the only living creature left on equis how is she suppose to harvest her moon fruit thats a lot of work just for one pony. plus im pretty sure she would go insane from boredom cause there would be absolutely nothing to do so i would like to see how nightmare moon defies that logic.

That's the message of the story; the Republic is doomed, and nopony seems to realize it.

Whenever I think I think of the NLR, I think it would be like Celestia's Empire except without the tyranny. I don't think it would be NMM's Nighttime Eternal plan for Equestria.
I’m a little confused , if Luna was proud and happy to have done what she did to celestia, why did she act the way she did when she followed Celestia? Was she feigning innocence? I would have thought she’d be gloating to celestia
