Grayscale is quite you average pony. He has a steady job and works regular hours. He fills out his taxes on time and always remembers to brush his teeth. In fact, he is so ordinary that ponies easily forget him. He thinks nothing of this and his extremely, well, boring, life until he bumps into a most unusual mare one day. Little does he know that this encounter would change the course of his life forever.

I'm sorry this part's so boring. Trust me it'll get more interesting. That's assuming anyone reads it, of course...

I was intrigued by the title, and decided to give it a read. Looks like it's off to a good start, and I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here.

Title and description remind me of Stranger than Fiction. Any influence?

Yeah... More than just a hint.
Nice story! Chapter 1 was excellent. You seem to have achieved that wonderful balance between the source material and Pony. It's a delicate balance, I hope it holds.

Stranger than Fiction? Don't think I've heard of it. Anyways, it wasn't what made me write this way.

Weird... Never heard of an accidental crossover before...
Boring guypony from the IRSBoO meets wild and alternative womanunicorn who changes his life forever.
I suppose the only clincher is if he starts reacting to hearing the narrator.
Maybe it was based on a book, or something...
