Honestly I don't mind this pairing but my main pet peeve in pairings for this show is any of the mane six with Rainbow dash (especially TwiDash) and any Spike romance (excluding sweetie).

1509263 I agree. I just don't like Spike with anypony. It's just... wrong. And Rainbow Dash with everypony is far too cliche. I must admit I like Rarijack. Mainly because I love Applejack
1509495 Finally someone who gets it. Remember that story in the featured box. The one about all the mares falling for Spike. That was plain wrong.
Also I think the funny irony would be that all the mane six would be gay apart from Dash. That would make a funny story actually... hmmm.
I've added this to my read later list... But man, when I saw Lotus in the picture and saw the title "Spa Treatment", I thought this was going to be a spa pony fic, then I saw the character tags. Still a RariShy paring sounds promising.
