Magic is more than anyone in Equestria knows. While it is commonly thought that magic is the simple feats of the Unicorns, or even perhaps the subtle abilities present among the many things that inhabit the land and beyond, magic governs far more than these petty occurences.

No one knows this better than the Celestial Family. After their triumph over Discord and their studies into the nature of Magic, they discovered the existence of an all-powerful presence in their universe they named the "Celestial Fabric", a manifestation of the universe itself that grants magical attributes to the universe and governs every aspect within their plane of existence. The discovery of this entity created an upsurge into the study of magic and it's abilities, but the deepest and most powerful secrets are kept hidden away from the eyes of the common pony-folk so it's power doesn't end up in the wrong hands. At least... until someone else begins to unravel it's secrets.
