Rarity is past her prime. It may be time for her to give up the ghost on the dating game, perhaps some dreams weren't meant to come true. She still knows how to clean up for a party, and the drinks at the Gala tonight are the finest in the land. Perhaps too fine, given her state when Luna finds her.

pre emptively commenting a HELL YEAH cause i know this is gonna slap

Evocative, emotional, simple in premise yet masterful in execution. Rariluna isn't a common ship, but nonetheless, this is instantly one of their best fics. Well done!

How does Sweetie Belle feel about all of this?

Luna x anypony is always a good, cultured choice. This was a delightful, sweet little story. Very hopeful in its melancholy. I liked it quite a bit.

Thank you both so much! I've had this idea in my head for a while especially to practice some more focused descriptive writing, so I'm very glad it had the intended effect!

Wow, this was great. Definitely sold me on the idea of these two. :raritystarry:

Well that practice paid off. Your previous stories are all great, but this one is just that tiny bit more lush, more vivid. Not a lot happened, and not a lot was said, but that didn't change the fact that it felt melancholic.

This is the kind of stuff I love to read, honestly. Its good 50% of what I write lol. I'm looking forward to where you go from here.

This was pretty good:pinkiesmile: I especially loved how you portrayed Luna and Rarity, it feels so real:raritystarry: Although I must admit, I've never thought about this ship before, but admittedly this is a very nice ship:heart:

Dan

What I wouldn't give to hear Tabitha St. Germain recite Molly Bloom's monologue as Rarity or Luna.

Happy Bloomsday, fellow somewhat unstable bibliophiles. (You have to be unhinged to tackle... that)

The emotion, descriptions, and dialogue was executed masterful. That was a good read overall.

The first half is goated, lots of wonderful little details.
The second half is well written, but suffers a bit from the off-the-cuff-ness. Feels rather sudden, but it makes sense with them not wanting to waste a single second

Overall, it's the best rariluna fic I've ever read :trollestia:

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one to realize how much time Luna can grant to others in her dreams :0
