How ironic it would be that anarchy should arise because ponies are discovering their royal blood.
For a story tagged "Random," and laboring under the additional handicap of the 1000 words straitjacket, this story sure has pretty good structure and foreshadowing and makes a lot of sense.
I kind of wanted Fluttershy to be descended from Celestia given how she's dressed up as her on two occasions (and I've always liked her Sun Princess ensemble), but hell, with how much Celestia and Luna banged I'd imagine every member of the Mane Six has blood relations to them. (To say nothing of Starlight...and Trixie...)

The thing that I really sacrificed to make this fit in a thousand words is the scenery. I’m not normally a heavy scenery kind of writer, but this is spare even for me. It always seems to happen in these stories that I start out wondering if I’m going to be able to stretch my tiny idea to a thousand words, and then I end up having to cut things.

Also, I must ask why upon her pseudo-succession, Rainbow insists on being called 'Rainbow Hyphen' instead of 'Rainbow Dash', since both the en- and em-variants of the dash can be considered greater than the hyphen, typographically speaking.
