It's honestly kinda dark, regardless whether ponies or changelings won that fight. Chrysalis might have deluded her child that "good" ponies, as in the obedient and conforming ones, get to keep happy, but as changeling population increases and pony population decreases, more and more ponies would get podded and freedom is only reserved for those who haven't produced any foals yet, those that haven't undergo mandatory reproduction stage. Those that can't reproduce, have some disdain, or have physical/mental trait undesirable for their changeling overlord would get podded instantly.
To put it simply, pony victory like this one result in slow extinction of the changelings, and changeling victory means more and more of the ponies get livestock slavery treatment as time goes on.
Anyway, is "If Wishes Were Ponies, Book 3" not going to be continued ? I just need confirmation.
I am so here for this! Loved the 'ling part of If wishes were ponies books 1 & 2, so I'm excited to see where this goes.

Pretty sure she got treated to the magic railgun of love and wound up on the other side of the continent / ocean, along with a few 'lings who happened to be nearby.
We pretty much lose contact with her for the rest of the stories after The Attack On Canterlot.
Chrysalis is out the game, no point in returning to Equestria. She has to restart her hive and is now the enemy of all with her actions in this story.

Tkepner has stated it is incredibly unlikely. They've cleared most of the plot points available to Harry and Co. From what's been released, this will be a changeling focused story (obviously). I think we can expect a few chapters of rehashed background information from various p.o.v. and hopefully follow Elly's new Queendom in England.
I would also like to know the fate of the main series. The integration politics between the Equestrian, 'Muggle', and Wizarding factions was very intriguing.

It's mentioned in this chapter that male drones like Earl, even a mature one, are not valuable since all the other hives have labeled any 'lings from Chrysalis' hive as defective.

I wouldn't call Chrysalis short-sighted. By Equestrian standards (If we account Celestia's plans, including her decision to let Discord confront Tirek in S4), she is a cunning strategist and a master manipulator. The only thing that caused her to fail is the deus ex machina love spell. S8 forwards just made her dumber than Rainbow Dash, in terms of social-smarts.
That's not to say Chrysalis is smarter than the average human in terms of managing her changeling empire, after all plenty of fanfictions have isekaied humans improving the changelings.

Well this looks interesting as we see the start of a new Hive with Elly as the new Hive Queen and no competition from others. Shame IWWP isn't getting a Book 3 as there were IMO enough plot lines to work with both with the escaped Riddle (in the arguably least crazy soul part), the remaining Horicruxes, current Wizard/Muggle/Pony relations, and potential activities in Equestria.

It isn't the entire race it is one Hive, though the failure of the Invasion has made things a hell of a lot harder for the other Hives. Still it is possible that the other Hives could make a peaceful contact with Celestia and Luna as they haven't tried to do any attacks and can prove that they had been around for some time with no desires for war,

Its a pity Changelings never got round to doing mythological beings such as the Goose that laid the Golden Egg due to suuch materials being so common in Equestria, and definitely n swamp dragons as no need for that level of complex internal chemistry being able to manufacture just about any fluid, which in the case of Equestrian dragons could include many liquid metals and minerals that average mortal would extremely short disagreements with?

Being able to alter body form in small amounts means she will be able to change lengths of fingers and mass distribution to change rotation vectors so she can dodge and recover equivalent to haveing a far greater Luck stat?
Even to manipulating her skin hair to enhance grip and defense like AJ and Pinkies Mane control or extreme Paprikas Fluffmancer?
On one hand it is good to blend in, but she should try to be over the regular levels of good, she has to financially support herself after all.
