This story is a sequel to The Creature
A knight swore to protect her Lady no matter the cost. A Lady swore to care for her knight no matter the cost.
They think only one can succeed.
Massive thank you to Carabas for editing and enduring me losing my mind for a month over the hell that was seeing this story through. It was worth it, though. I think it's the best story I've ever written.

This is easily some of the best writing of yours I have ever read. Fuckign fantastic, end to end. It was a real pleasure to read this as it was being written
What an excellent follow-up to the original.
Loved every word of this great
I've already told you how this story made me feel, but it's worth penning as comment. This story was beautiful in a way I find difficult to explain. No matter how strange the circumstance, so much about all of this feels so very haunting and familiar to myself, and it turned me into a blubbering, snotty mess. My head still hurts from crying so much.
Thank you for writing this. We're lucky to have such an art in the world.
Finally! Two RariTwi greats come together and collaborate! My wishes have been fulfilled!
Well I feel alright

I can see why you're so proud of this story! So heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time, the pain, the loss, the yearning, the love, all exquisitely woven into a tale of a beautiful Creature and her Guard
Well, this was a pleasant surprise! When you posted the first chapter on your site I thought it was a one-shot sequel, complete with devastating ending. Sure was glad to see this continuation! Another truly lovely fic by the uncontested queen of RariTwi. I can’t imagine what other shenanigans these two might get into, but if you ever write them, I’ll be the first to read them.
favourited and liked, will have to read later, many horse words and work collide.
Owww.
Happy Endings are always good.
Hey look. I've got this big bag of emotions. Sorry, they spill all over the place. Let me get a mop.
Oh look at these feelings. Dusty old things. Hardly used. I'd clean them more if only I remembered where I kept them. How ever did you find them?
So the legend goes
The warmest bed
One ever knows
Is the arms of a beloved
Or so I'm told
I'm just curious as to how Rarity got cursed in the first place.
Fear not the writer who has written a thousand different pairs, fear instead the writer who has written the same pairing a thousand glorious ways.
In all seriousness, this was beautiful, I can count on my hand the number of fics that have actually made me cry, and this has crowned you as the holder of the majority of them.
Also you know darn well Rarity made matching stylish eyepatches after everything
Insane way to end Part 1, I see how this was a 1 month brainworm.
I’m a sucker for good characterization and you nailed it here; then you continued to weave it into the narrative in direct ways that make the finale even more significant. Very cool. Every action and bit of dialogue felt very intentional, and there’s not many that can pull that off. Some pretty interesting morals covered here too, something to keep my thinking about this TwiCreachurity duo. I have to say, I was really thinking this would end up being a tradegy. Not sure how I feel about a happy ending. It definitely worked the way it was setup, but I was all prepared to have my heart torn out, so it did feel a little anticlimactic. The reveal with Twilight seeing restored Rarity for the first time was very well deserved though.
Call me a Creature, coz I felt like I've been stabbed through the heart reading this. Couldn't keep my emotions in check whilst reading this. Fantastic, fantastic!
i am sorry to write this, but i have found something to be corrected.
Damn you Mono! I was trying to fix my sleep cycle but then I started reading chapter 1 of this and had to read it all the way through. You degenerate bastard. I will be liking and favoriting this, as normal.

Because your stories are so nice and i nitpick like that.
This is killing me
I am such a sucker for your stories Monochromatic.
wtfffff
this is the greatest story ive ever read
wow.
The first words of a great story are the tip of a sword. They piece, shallow but quick, a portent of all that awaits. And I willingly throw myself upon them every time, no matter the hurt, because the joy at the end is always worth the cost.
Magnificent work.
Awesome! Best sequel I never knew I needed
You never miss! And also i think you singlehandedly sold me on this pairing. Bravo, 10/10.
Absolutely excellent!
You never cease to impress with how meticulously you can weave the threads of drama. Also, always great to see North Ridge!
:)
Darn it, it's over.
Perfect ending spot but im greedy for more even though I can't even start to imagine what more would entail.
Read this through start to finish, both first story and this without pause. Going right into my "will read again" folder.
This was an amazing story, easily one of the best I’ve ever read. I hung on every word. It was a pleasure I hope to read again.
