Allan Birk never expected to wake up as a pony in Equestria, a world he only knew through his friends’ obsession with My Little Pony. Saved from Timberwolves by Zecora, he grapples with the trauma of his last night on Earth—a night of laughter, friendship, and an incident that ended it all. As he takes on the name Glam Shield, a joke from a convention, Allan must decide what to do in a world that feels too real to be a dream.

I love this story so far. Keep up the good work

Loving this story so far, also I wonder, would a drunk Zecora speak normally (no rhymes) or would it somehow make it worse? :pinkiehappy:
Also, just a small recommendation, when changing POV's start with a line saying something like Silver Spoon POV

Thanks for the tip.

Quite the abrupt start, but I like it.

I'd say just a line break is fine.

Glam's trial period in Equestria has ended, he's unceremoniously dropped into the story proper.
Good stuff, more please.

A vendor’s calendar caught my eye—summer, two and a half years before Nightmare Moon’s return.

Where did that half year come from? If it's summer now, it should be a full two or three years until Nightmare Moon, no?

A HiE fic where the Mane 6's actions have logical consequences? You don't see many of those (outside of callout fics), real nice.

I like these new dynamics you're building, wordsmith.

The kitchen smelled of sugar and berries, pots bubbling on the stove. Pinkie stood by a mixing bowl, her mane still flat, her hooves fidgeting with a whisk. She didn’t look up, but her ears twitched as we entered. The Cakes flanked her, Carrot clearing his throat. “Pinkie, hon,” he said gently, “Glam’s here with Zecora. Maybe it’s time to… talk.”

I leaned against a counter, keeping my grin easy. “No pressure, Pinkie. Just figured we’d hash this out. You, Zecora, the whole rumor thing—it’s been long enough, yeah?” Her eyes flicked to me, then away, guilt written all over her. Here we go.

You accidentally doubled this paragraph.

I looked up to see Mayor Mare, her glasses glinting, a scroll tucked under her wing

Her what now?

He's becoming the town Casanova completely by accident.

Sorry my mistake, I will fix it more later, and thanks for showing this.

Unique concept. "Shield that sees all." He's coming into this with a cutie mark and a special talent that he already understands.

Anyway, the next updates is gonna be a little slow, so, I'm asking, it is better to upload 2 chapter a week? Or a long chapter once a week?

I'd recommend pacing yourself. Frequent updates are good, but not pressuring yourself is also important. My suggestion is to build a backlog, it will give you time to take a break if you need without running out of content to release.

Did I miss him telling Fluttershy he's not from Equestria? I thought only Zecora knew that.

Sorry, yes the scene was not posted, I'm gonna need to fix it, it was with Nurse RedHearth and Fluttershy’s scene before the growl of her stomach, I'm gonna need to change to another option, Google Documents is giving me troubles when pasting to the site.

And thank a lot for remarking this issue.

Fluttershy’s jaw dropped, her firmness crumbling. “Rarity, that’s not—” She sighed, rubbing her temple. 'Why is this my day?' The mares’ glares softened, replaced by curious whispers, the revelation rippling through the café like a stone in a pond.

"No! Wait a moment, how do you know he isn't originally from Equestria?"

At Rarity's question, I turn to look her directly in the eyes. My face takes on a serious expression as a fleeting memory of how I found out this information flashes through my mind.

Fluttershy starts in third person, then swaps to first person after Rarity's remark here.

… Filthy Rich … || His wife made him sleep on the couch for a week till he apologized publicly—and to Diamond.

Filthy Rich's wife is Spoiled Rich, though her alternate name is Spoiled Milk, which kind of matches her personality in the show. Diamond Tiara's redemption episode implies that Spoiled Rich/Milk was a major factor in influencing her negative behaviour. It seems this story may be discarding that and taking it a different direction.

Additional trivia: Mrs Cake's alternate name is Chiffon Swirl.

OK, it is good to know that, to be honest I stopped watching the show after Magical Mystery Cure.

I don't remember the name it the author's, but every week posted a review of the next chapter.

So about to be following the Canon, I'm gonna try to some extent but there is always something that would escape me, I'm gonna try to use some Wikis for that.

And thanks for the info.

Another thing, English is not my native language, so I will try to correct grammar mistakes if there's an error that escapes me.

The filly nodded, her face half-buried in my mane, too tired to speak. “What’s your name, kid?” I asked, glancing back.
(New paragraph)
Her voice was a whisper. “S-Silver Spoon.” I nodded, filing it away. My friends had loved her redemption arc in the show. Guess I was part of it now.

minus the foal part, thank heaven.

Zecora’s ears flattened, her gaze sharp. “To face such beasts, you’d risk your fate. While I lead this child to safety’s gate?”
(New paragraph)
“Someone’s in trouble,” I said,

Silver Spoon squeaked, her voice breaking. But a low howl echoed, closer now, and she buried her face in Zecora’s neck, clinging tight. Zecora’s jaw tightened, but she nodded, scooping the filly onto her back.
(New paragraph)
“Be swift, Glam Shield, and stay alive,” she rhymed, her voice clipped, then bolted for the town.

“Now drop me—I’ve got to finish this.”
(New paragraph)
She stared, eyes wide with worry, her grip tightening. “B-but you’ll get hurt!” I shot her a lopsided grin, insistent. With a reluctant whimper, she let go.

Crystal’s violet eyes fixed on Zecora. “Miss Zecora, how did you end up in the Everfree? It’s… unusual.”
(New paragraph)
Zecora’s cloak swayed, her voice calm. “By Princess Celestia’s grace, I dwell there, brewing remedies for those who dare.” Her earrings glinted as she met Crystal’s gaze.

Sterling’s silver mane twitched. “Celestia herself? That’s… astounding.” He turned to me, eyes narrowing. “And you, Glam Shield? How’d you cross paths with her?”
(New paragraph)
I kept it vague, my grin easy. “She fished me out of a bad spot a year ago. Everfree Isn't kind to wanderers.” Let them spin their own stories—rumors could be useful.
(New paragraph)
Crystal’s jaw dropped. “A year ago? You’ve been with her all this time?”

My stomach dropped. Eight months? A year? I’d lose half my time before Nightmare Moon’s return, stuck in a bed. My face must’ve shown it, because Nurse Redheart tensed, her eyes narrowing. “What’s wrong? Beyond the obvious.”
(New paragraph)
I swallowed, my voice low. “I don’t have a single bit to my name. How am I supposed to pay for this?”

Fluttershy, the town’s angel, scolding me? This was better than a Wonderbolts show.(——

——)”Morning, Fluttershy,” I said, stretching my legs, casual as could be.

“Ahem, Miss Pie,” I tried, clearing my throat. No dice. Pinkie froze, whisk mid-stir, but didn’t turn. Tough crowd.
(New paragraph)
“Pinkie, sweetie,” Cup Cake said, her voice soft but firm, “this talk’s for your own good. Please.” Her words made Pinkie tremble, her ears drooping.

——)I blinked. Grateful? “You’re giving me a cart?” I scanned the sketch, half-expecting a catch. “I’m not exactly Equestria’s citizen of the year. No papers, no ID—pretty sure your rulebook says I’m a ghost.”

I gaped, horror sinking in. “A 'basket' means I’m engaged?” 'I gave her samples, not a ring!'
(New paragraph)
Zecora’s eyes twinkled, her smirk maddening. “Not yet, my friend, but seek her aid. Her words may clear the path you’ve strayed. Tread softly in Ponyville’s ways.”

Mayor Mare trotted up, scarf fluttering. “Glam Shield, a market star!” she said, grabbing a balm. “One more form, and you’re nearly a resident.” Her wink was sly. “Unless a mare speeds it up?”
(New paragraph)
I groaned. Not again. “Paper Works fine,” I said. She laughed, tossing bits, then added, “Swing by Town Hall later—I need help.”

”Six months?”(—— Fluttershy nodded, shaky but firm. “Yes, Nurse Redheart.” For Ponyville.

I stepped in, and Mayor Mare’s smile was too sly. Trap. “Glam, we need help—” she started.
(New paragraph)
“Whoa!” I cut in, hooves up. “I’ve got Hearth’s Warming shopping—gifts, materials. No bits needed to help.”

Her grin faded, a blush creeping up. Thought I’d ask for a date?
(New paragraph)
“Everything, I promise,” she muttered.

The mares planned a post-Hearth’s Warming party at Sugarcube Corner, inviting Glam and Zecora. “What do we get Glam?” Pinkie asked.
(New paragraph)
Silver Spoon shouted, “He’s buying gifts!” The mares blushed.
(New paragraph)
“For us?” Rarity gasped.
(New paragraph)
Fluttershy shook her head. “He’s kind.”
(New paragraph)
Pinkie grinned. “Bet Rainbow’d crash this if her order was up!”

A shriek—Gummy chomped all three fillies’ tails, blinking blankly. Rarity giggled. “Absurd!” Pinkie scooped Gummy.
(New paragraph)
“Hot chocolate’s on them!” Fluttershy smiled, market warmth easing her nerves.

Rarity giggled, her glance sharp. Pinkie chirped, “Applejack’s got a fan! Can I join the fan club?”
(New paragraph)
The fillies giggled at my coughing fit, missing the subtext.
(New paragraph)
Applejack stammered, “Granny, hush!” I wheezed. Universe, why?

“You okay?” she asked, blushing, carrying twice my load.
(New paragraph)
I groaned, “You’re a beast, Fluttershy.” She squeaked, hiding behind her mane. Worth the ache for that shy smile.

Sweetie Belle bounced, shoving her plate at me. “Glam, try my hay-bacon mac and cheese!” Her eyes sparkled.
(New paragraph)
I shook my head, smiling. “Eat up, kid.” She pouted but dug in. The mares’ stares burned, rumors churning.
(New paragraph)
Then Rarity leaned in, voice silky. “Glam, darling, Fluttershy hinted you’re… not from Equestria. Care to share where you’re from?”

I must’ve gaped, because she smirked, all playful curiosity.
(New paragraph)
“Glam, darling, you’re staring. Something on my mane?”

Her voice turned sly. “You’re dodging, darling. I’ll get that story yet.”
(New paragraph)
I stuffed my face, praying the singles mares staring from nearby didn’t hear.

Applebloom and Diamond are talking now—yay!”
(New paragraph)
Rarity winked. “Till next time, darling.” I waved,
