Hey, Virus, your fic is quite good, but you really need to brake the text into multiple paragraphs more often, such walls of text are hard to read coherently and some readers might just skip them entirely.
Also, you occasionally forget to place quotation marks before the speech, like right here, after the bell rang.
Like your fic and take on HiE so far, it is refreshing to see a character that actually acts like a mature adult and doesn't cares about "show canon", choosing to live his own life instead of going crazy over all the what-ifs or try to fulfill his character's "destiny".

I personally thought she was just naive, thinking that, since Crystal Heart banishes evil, but did no banished Sombra, it was all good.
Or, maybe, she thought that CH can "banish" evil magic from Sombra's body and the pain was a result of said magic leaving his body? Kinda like how actual clergy believed that you can lift the spells/curses by burning the witch who casted it or artifacts those spells were attached to?

It is difficult to understand why she didn’t kill Sombra in the beginning or help him. Some think she was lazy, some she liked his suffering, some think she believed in fate, some she understood it too late.
This racist side of ponies to avoid others can be explained by canon again. My little pony G5, all three tribes barely visited other but their race for several centuries if not a hole thousand years. So ponykind are not simple Americans they can be analog to American Rednecks or Ku Klux Klan in pony version.

Hopefully yes, but we don't know how much of a grip the Umbrums could have over him even if Sombra's body doesn't have his soul anymore, unless they intentionally plucked the guys soul into that body in the first place.

I think the most concerning part is that she knows what a pinkie promise is. So either she is also a transformed human, she has knowledge she isn’t supposed to know about like the future or she knows of the earlier generation of mlp. All are disturbing for different reasons
