Rainbow Dash has finally managed to score a position for the annual Wonderbolts tryouts. Being an ace athlete and performer of the fabled 'Sonic Rainboom' as well as bunch of other stuff, she figures she's got in in the bag. But when she gets to the interview phase, she is put on the spotlight and shot down when it's discovered that she's a flight academy dropout.
Humiliated, shamefaced, and just plain feeling dumb, Rainbow realizes there's only one thing to do if she's to ever have another chance at her dream. She must attempt a feat even more impossible than a double...no, a TRIPLE rainboom.
She has to go back to school.

You definitely captured Dash's over-confdence, maybe a tad overexaggerated but it's way better than anything I could write
I'm not sure what constructive criticism to give on give on the single chapter, but I like where this is going. I shall watch and wait...

(Dryly) Yes, because all athletes and/or performers need to know the mathematical specifics of what they're doing and not just how to do it. (Grumbling) Yeah, right. They just want educated entities to make themselves look good. Never liked the Wonderbolts, they tend to fail abysmaly every time they're onscreen or just leave a bad impression.

I never understood what was so damning about being a tomboy or rainbows anyway. Besides, from my experience fics where Dashie's straight are few, far between and nearly always great.
Gotta feel sorry for her. Guessing her automatically being slapped with negative/false labels are part of what caused her to drop out in the first place. (Wait a minute, do I see a reference to Dash Academy there?)
