The herd DEFINITELY needs more non-pony members. I'm sure Ember, a hippogryph (maybe Princess Skystar) and a few other non-pony races can show up (no Gabby since she's with Spike).
I would suggest a Yak, but other than Yona there aren't really any options. Which is a bit unfortunate, as it deprices Anon of a reason to visit the nurse again.
