Scorpan, a gargoyle whose name is spoken throughout myths and legends, goes through another lonely day in the decrepit kingdom he called home. Why did he chose to stay there?
Well, it never mattered then, so why should it matter now?

You should probably add the comic series tag, since I hadn’t expected seeing comic canon in this.
This was really good at working through the daily feelings of both someone who has a lot of regrets but also isn’t completely irredeemable, and that they’ve become used to that knowledge during their quiet routine. Nice work.
EDIT: I misread the series tag because I didn’t have my glasses on. I’m so used to people not tagging things correctly and it’s so frustrating.
*yoink*
I really liked this. Don’t see a lot of stories about Scorpan and now I feel like there should lol. Great work!
Needs a continuation, would love to see more of scorpan, he is not written well in most stories or actually he is not written enough at all.

12124510 Hi! I'm Alondro, Dark Troll God and destroyer of many minds! I just finished reading your story and I would like to give it my VERY SPECIAL REVIEW, MUWAH HA HA HA HA!!
Also, I think it would make a very great comic. Just give the Nigerian Prince all your personal info and he'll send you a pizza roll in the mail! I would give you a Discord server, but Discord is a wretched hive of scum and villainy.
(Good story, BTW. Just had to play with the bots. )
12124028 I remember the original G1 Scorpan... who randomly turned into a human prince and was never ever EVER mentioned again in the series... One of the things that annoyed me way back then, as I've always been a stickler for continuity in an ongoing narrative.
"Don't think that this will change your crimes." Scorpan looked scared as he turned to see a figure in the shadows. "Your actions cost you everything; your kingdom, your family and your race."
"Leave me alone..."
"I cannot leave you alone. The figure came out of the shadow to reveal a younger version of Scorpan "I'm you and I'm the guilt that was created the day you betrayed Tirek! The magic from ponies will never erase me! NEVER!!!" He roared as Scorpan coward in a corner of his home.
"I'm sorry..."
"Sorry will not undo the crimes you committed! Everything around you, will always be a reminder of your sin! Yelled his Younger self as images of Centaurs and Gargoyles abandoned him
I know what I typed is cruel but... tell me this, Did you think Celestia didn't have any guilt when she banished Luna to the moon? And the only difference between Celestia and Scorpan is, Celestia had her subjects with her while Scorpan was all alone
This is an interesting story and I wonder how it will place in the contest. Scorpan doesn't seem to be entirely sane which isn't surprising given the long time of isolation.
I've always wondered what happened to Scorpan when he returned to his and Tirek's kingdom after their first invasion of Equestria.
Good luck, fellow contestant!
