I assume her learning of the oranges is what happened before the chapter started.

If I had a nickel for every time a pony author I consistently read used the phrase "Murder isn't very friendship of you" I would have two nickels, which isn't a lot but equally funny both times it happened
This was a fun little read! Applejacks anger certainly is something that is fun to explore, especially with it being few and far between with her anger feeling, as you put it "right"
Also I absolutely loved Celestia getting cow tipped and just accepting that as her fate for the day

I alternate between wanting to upvote this and downvote this based on how many layers of irony I think you're using here. Or meta-irony/post-irony. I count 5 different, largely incompatible sociopolitical intentions that could go along with this comment which is frankly impressive. This is probably the dumbest literal set of words that has made me think this much about what they mean, which I think is worthy of my upvote, regardless of the actual intention.

And to be clear (because I'm transparent now) the God Emperor of China, Alondro, is throwing everyone into his slave pits to produce a zombie army except they're stuck underground so the need people to mine them out, really inefficient btw, but I'm still unclear about the trees. Are the trees the source of the zombies? The backers of the coup? The power behind the throne? Upset at me in particular for some reason?
