Love this fic but the constant editing to what we get to see (the in story editing such as the recordings) really detract from the quality of the work as it seems like we only get to see a tenth of what's actually happening. I get its being done in the style of a journal so its thematically appropriate but still its jarring to the point of making me want to pull my hair out in frustration.
Maybe a post the other half of this stuff in another fic as a companion work so we can get a better idea of what the hell is going on?

Lyra wasn't in the herd back at the end of Xenophilia, but Dash's journal talks about her as though she is. So this would be after Xenophilia.
Gotta say I'm kind of meh on the whole Lyra thing. For one I think it was among the weakest parts of the original.
