Life's a gamble.

You never know whether you might live or die; every day is a gamble, especially for people in poor communities.

Demarcus was a young man, and yes, poor. He had just enough to go and walk to the store to pick up the newest volume for Jujutsu Kaisen. He gambled and made a choice he shouldn't have. He ran into some trouble, he got shot, and he was left to die.

However, whether through God's mercy or sheer luck, he was reborn with the same abilities as a famous gambler from the manga he was going to buy; Kinji Hakari. But instead of using these powers for something good, he chooses to be irresponsible.

And one day, after a negative showing of his powers, Canterlot Highschool seeks him out to make him a student. One minor disagreement later, Demarcus is now a student, learning everything there is to know about Cursed Energy. So that maybe one day he can use what he learns to do what's right but being a 'hero' isn't what he's planning on.

He has a goal, and nobody, not even Cursed Spirits, other Jujutsu Sorcerers, or the hierarchy of Canterlot High will keep him from achieving it.

Getting back to his Mother.

You don't need to read/watch Jujutsu Kaisen to understand the story. Topics and information will be explained throughout the story.
