Car Talk and Cuddles

Its been a long day for our two gear heads, Donny the Human and CreamPuff the Earth Pony. After some takeout, they sit back and talk about their plans with their High-Maintenance Japanese Drift-Missiles. Then, they end the night with some... newfound affection.

My own little threw-this-together-while-I-was-stuck-at-home-with-covid-story. This is also my first attempt at a cuddlefic. :)

As the owner of a GMC S-15/Sonoma (the S-10's better twin) I got confused each time you mentioned 'S15' in the text 'cause I pictured my clapped-out $80 truck (really!) each time.

Rusty bolts are the devil; one of my co-workers at the shop today spent an inordinate amount of time on a Fusion brake job playing a rust belt tech's favorite game of 'what size socket fits a bolt that used to be 13mm' and 'do I need fire to help it come loose?' The answer to the latter was a yes; for the former I don't know what he wound up using but he was raiding fractional sockets off my tool cart.

The moment lingered, their voices quieter now, as if the conversation had naturally slowed down. Cream Puff found herself looking at him more intently, her fingers still gently tracing the seam of her sleeve. Donny, too, was watching her now, the easy smile on his face shifting just slightly as he realized how close they were sitting... but still, there was that space between them. It felt both familiar and a little strange, like something was about to change, but neither of them knew how to make the first move.

"Her fingers" I thought you said creampuff doesn't have hands lol

Cream Puff’s heart pounded in her chest as she gazed at Donny, and before she even realized what was happening, her hands found their way to his neck, pulling him toward her. The movement was quick, desperate almost, and she didn’t even give him time to react.

"I like you too," she replied softly, her voice filled with sincerity. "I’ve always liked you... more than I realized, I think. But this—" She gestured between them, her hand brushing against his chest, her fingers lingering there, feeling the steady beat of his heart. "This feels different. And... I don’t know. I’m scared. But I know I care about you."

3 times? I think you want her to have hands at this point lmao
