On the most favored and magical of nights, Nightmare Night, the CMC and Featherweight go trick-or-treating alone for the first time, only to find that the smallest member of the group has not arrived. Together, they go to find little Pipsqueak, but the situation soon turns dire as they are whisked away to another time with a dark and mysterious unicorn. Now the CMC and Feathers are on a wild goose chase after their dear friend, all while learning the origins of their favorite holiday.

This story has been on my mind for quite a while now, and only now has it been started. The story is based upon the movie and book "Halloween Tree" by Ray Bradbury, who unfortunately passed away earlier this year. It is a ponified version of the story, and I can only hope it pays some homage to the mans work. If you haven't read the book or seen the movie, do so. It is a wonderful Halloween classic.
Talk about something from years past. This will definitely be something to pay attention to.

Okiee dokiee! So this has finally been finished, and firstly, thank you all for reading this and following till the end. As a heads up, I will be taking a break from writing for a while before I start my first real fanfic. This kinda doesn't count for obvious reasons. I shall also be editing my editors first fanfic. Huzzah!
Basically, as stated in the description, I had this idea to rewrite The Halloween Tree in pony form after watching S2E4, Luna Eclipsed. I also wanted to release it around Halloween, mostly due to the fitting setting. Seriously! Pipsqueak, whose nickname is Pip, and Pipkin whose nickname is Pip? I'm pretty sure that was meant as a reference, though nobody seems to have asked about it at the cons...
Anyway, I would like some constructive criticism on this; how did you all like reading it, what were your favorite parts, did I use too much dialogue from the movie or the book, all that good stuff. Don't be afraid to hurt my feelings, I have my flame shield ready!
