After my mom adopted me, she'd always tell me that being different means you're special, that you're unique and true to yourself. But the hateful ponies, the anti-changeling cult and the entire kingdom trying to kill me says, it makes me a freak, that I'm just like my blood mother who scarred this land, a monster. But my mother, my real mother, she says I'm different. She's says that I am special and unique. That's why she lives inside my head and watches over me. Still, I can't help but wonder...who's right?

Wow, I thought I was going to have to wait another month or two for this. Great start so far! Though the knock-out dream seemed strange and kinda pointless. Unless it was to show that Chrysalis still has power over him and he's still resisting.

Oh Shifting Sands, you never get a break, do you? First day at school, and you already got yourself a nemesis/school bully, then had a wild chase scene through the school.
But, I do have to ask, griffins eat changelings? So they aren't looked upon as a sentient species by them? Btw, why doesn't Shifting Sands use his magic anymore? I can't really remember him using it that much. The only moment that stands out to me is when he was a little foal, and sent that huge beam into the air when the mane six and the princesses where around him. Then again, maybe I haven't been paying enough attention? *Shrug*
