Liquid Truth

Life's still pretty great

Absolutely delightful! I love the balletic quality of the gentle repetition.

I went into this wondering how defenestration and romance would hang together but you pulled it off beautifully.

The closing twist really put a bow on the whole thing. Twilight managed to throw her so hard, she missed the ground. Brilliant bit of poetic madness that definitely made sense to Rarity at the time, which tells us a lot about her. Thank you for a lovely read.

She remembered the words of a newly-wed princess: “You’re not truly married until your husband throws you off a balcony.” Which needed a lot of context to fully understand. For one, Princess Cadance had wings. Rarity didn’t have wings. Being thrown out of a window was a spur of the moment of wanting to be truly loved.

... Was Cadance being serious?

To be thrown out of a window is to be persistent, and to be persistent is to love.

:facehoof:

To be thrown out of a window is to finally convince Twilight to go out for a fancy dinner. And to convince Twilight to go out for a fancy dinner is to be loved.

How is there no comedy tag? This was a good story.

Turns out Twilight is really strong for throwing someone so hard that they orbit the planet.

She only remembered after the kiss. Twilight had picked her up and thrown her through the stained glass window depicting the defeat of Nightmare Moon.

I am mentally picturing this, and for some reason right after Rarity goes through the window? I'm hearing air horns go off like Twilight just slammed a monster dunk.

To be thrown out of a window is to read a funny story. And to read a funny story is to be loved. :raritystarry::twilightsheepish:

Is 2 people seriously downvoting the story and downvoting every comment?

This was a good story to read, the tags and description was pretty informative on what was gonna happen throughout the story. If you are just gonna downvote on something then why did you click on the story in the first place? I will never understand people.

Turns out you don't need wings if you just go so fast you can't hit the ground.

RariTwi is basically the two of them having two very different ideas of romance and it somehow working out even if it leads to stuff like this between the more predictable romance.

In other words, I loved this!

Wow, unless I missed something, obvious bot got banned in the span of only 3 hours. That's gotta be some kind of an academy record!

(And also, because I don't want to double-comment: this is a fantastic story. Earth pony magic, especially in an alicorn, is not to be trifled with.)

If I had a nickel for every fanfic I read that involved throwing someone out the window, I'd have 3 nickels. Or if the word defenestration was involved, then 2. If love was involved, it is also 2. Not a whole lot, but it's great to see it happen each time.

Wonderful story, I love the poetic repetition!

Someone's ship just got sunk, that's all.

RariTwi is not their OTP.

Obviously, this story should be defenestrated.

"Yes. This is me, darling. You're probably wondering how I found myself in this situation? It is truly a tale. One of passion and struggle and defenestration, darling. Why, allow me to sate your curiosity and recount the events that led us here."

This was delightfully absurd. :rainbowlaugh:
"Defenestration" is one of my absolutely favourite terms, with how serious it sounds and how ridiculous it actually is. Rarity insisting on something ostentatiously dramatic and only realising how bad of an idea it actually is when it comes back to bite her is peak comedy. Also, the idea of Cadance going around and advising couples to throw each other out of the window is now my headcanon.

Comedy gold here, looks like someone managed not to throw humor out the window and make proper use of it. :rainbowlaugh::raritywink::twilightblush:

Not out of a window, from a balcony! Even the slightest difference can fail the experiment!

You don't mean to suggest that the newlyweds have wasted the moment? You don't, right darling? Right?!

Oh the horror! The horror! Of all the bad things that could happen, this. Is the worst. POSSIBLE. :raritydespair:

this was interesting.

:moustache: and that's why I have wings
:twilightsheepish: You too can have your own window
:duck: Can I throw him too?
:flutterrage: Discord so help me if you try to throw me I'll I'll Harry bear will maul you!
:facehoof: Bears don't fly

"Love is when you let go of somepony and they come back to you."

"Dear, you threw me out of the clerestory, and we have a covered pergola."

This was brilliant and now I have a strong desire to throw my wife out a window. :rainbowlaugh:
